DESIGNER FEATURE: Marisol Aparicio
August 9th through August 16th we are going to have lots of pretty pretty pretty accessories from designer Marisol Aparicio. During the Pop-Up Shop we will be offering an extra 10% off any accessory purchased during the event!!! The collection is handmade in the United States by the family itself. To schedule an appointment call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here!! **We love it when brides bring in their dresses (from here or elsewhere) so that we can have an accessories dress-up day to see what accessories are perfect to help you complete your look!!
1. Lace lace lace trimmed veils. Beautiful lace veils. These lace veils are just phenomenal and are also affordable. With prices ranging from $110 to $250 these are awesome options for brides who love the look of a gorgeous lace veil but don't want to overspend on their accessories. From Alencon Lace from France to Floral lace that either frame the face or trim the entire veil, we just love these pretty delicate veils.
2. Unique lace appliques... these are so different from any other veils we have available in our shop. If you are not wanting a veil entirely trimmed with lace than these are a perfect option for you because they have lace appliques either in one area of the veil or spread out along the veil. A more subtle yet still gorgeous option.
3. Garden inspired headpieces with soft floral accents. We are so in love with all these headpieces which incorporate flowers!!! So pretty and perfect for an outdoors wedding in a garden. They are romantic and stunning. The headpieces range from $95 to $400.
4. Bohemian with some bling. You all probably know by now we love anything bohemian. That being said we also love a little glitz, a little glam and some major bling. So we are loving how these headpieces combine bohemian with bling for a new bridal look.
So excited for this Pop-Up Shop and we can't wait to see which accessories are bride's favorites!!

VERONICA SHEAFFER:
When we schedule a Pop-Up Shop with a bridal designer we have an idea of what we are going to get but we don't always know everything we are going to get. And oh my goodness gracious were we going crazy when we opened the box from Veronica Sheaffer. A blush, grey + navy blue dress? Made of the softest finest materials ever? Handcrafted beautifully to perfection? We were in love. Needless to say both Adrienna + I looked at each other and just swooned for a few minutes. These were by far some of our favorites from the collection. But oh you just wait because the prettiness does not end there. Next up... swiss dots, tea length, vintage inspired...
Both Adrienna + I also love swiss dots. So so much. So so so so much. They are our favorites. So when we saw these swiss dot beauties we fell in love. These dresses are so beautiful with their vintage inspired retro feel to them. We just love them so much. They are perfect for the southern vintage glam bride. Just absolutely perfect. But that's really not all... we got a lot of dresses from Veronica. I mean seriously a lot.
Last but not least here are some more of our favorites from her Fall 2014 collection. Blush pink leather corset top mixed with a lace skirt? I am just in love with the edginess of this dress combined with the skirt that is so girly and flowy. Such a fun mix of fabrics for the badass yet girly bride. All of these dresses just are so fun and so unique. I could go on for days but I will leave you at that. These aren't even all of the dresses from the collection that are currently at our shop... yes there are more. So if you are interested in coming in call us today at (912)200-4794 or e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com to come by before these dresses leave us!! We will have these dresses 2 more days: Friday and Saturday!! And if you come in we will help you pair the perfect accessory with the dress for the perfect look that will also give you savings of $250 on the total purchase!!

Eeeeek!!!! Today we are featured on Storyboard Wedding! This was our first styled shoot with our inventory from our boutique!! When we received our bridal accessories from Hushed Commotion we decided we wanted to do something funky and fun with them even though we didn't even have any bridal gowns yet!! The shoot featured a gold birdcage, a gold headpiece, several sashes, Adrienna's handmade furry vest + a holiday inspired bouquet made with help from Shelby + Alison, our amazing interns. We contacted Heather of Beyond Beautiful about doing a mini shoot that used our bridal accessories in a way that showed how bridal accessories can be used even after the wedding. Mackensey Alexander captured our model showing a few different looks at the gorgeous Ships of the Sea Museum. Thank you everyone who helped out + especially the model who was probably freezing cold while modeling for us! And thank you so much to Jessica at Storyboard Wedding for featuring our mini shoot!!!!!!

SIMPLY BRIDAL: NYC Bridal Market + New Savannah Bridal Boutique
Golly it's been hard for me to get around to blogging this past week for 2 reasons: 1. we have been so crazy busy finishing up last minute details for the October weddings + 2. no wifi at my house means no late night blogging sessions. But anyway, I am back now writing this post now on quite possibly the most fun business trip ever. It's funny when you are in college and you envision what your life will be like and then 4 years later you're somewhere completely different then you could have ever imagined doing something you would have never ever thought you would ever be doing. That's how this business trip was for me. It was like I was living in a dream. This is not real life. I am not really in New York City. I am not really talking to some of the best bridal designers in the world. I am not really about to buy not one, not two, not even four, five or ten bridal dresses but actually thirty. I am not staying at a ridiculously trendy hotel where there is a robot that stores your luggage for you. I could continue this list with other things that didn't feel real but I don't want to bore you too much. Soo... anyway, I don't know if Adrienna felt the same way, but that was definitely how I felt, like this was not really happening and like this was not possibly my life but someone else's life I'm just watching from above. But the thing is... this is real life. And we were talking with some of the best bridal designers in the world. And we were about to buy about thirty bridal gowns. And there actually was a robot that stored our luggage for us...
While at Bridal Fashion Week we met with several bridal designers, out of which we chose our four favorite fits for Ivory + Beau. I am not going to reveal our designers yet but we know ya'll will love them just as much as we do. These ladies are so talented and so incredible. All in all we will have about 40 dresses to start with, 4 designers + 5 collections along with 2-3 accessory designers (that is in the works now). So like always, I love to share sneak peeks of what is to come without revealing everything! Here are some snapshots of our time in NYC! Hope you enjoy!

{STYLED SHOOT} Green Garden Shoot in St. Augustine
I am so excited to share this styled shoot I helped out with for a few reasons. For one, it was with 3 ladies I have been wanting to work with for awhile now (plus several other amazing ladies that I got to meet and collaborate with!) And secondly, it was my first time ever going to St. Augustine, Florida and the little day trip with Adrienna was a blast!!! Plus the drive down there is absolutely gorgeous driving along the coast. I'm sad we didn't get to make it down to the beach because it looked so divine, but I guess that just gives me an excuse to go back... maybe next time with the fiance?? Anyway, this shoot was a long time coming. I talked to Andi Mans probably over a year ago about possibly collaborating on a styled shoot. And I've known Amber Veatch for a little over a year and a half and have always wanted to collaborate with her too. So... when Adrienna McDermott approached me about doing a styled shoot featuring her handmade bridal accessories I thought to myself... let's confuse the crap out of everyone and bring 3 people with names starting with "A" together for an inspiration shoot.
And so the green garden shoot at The Sanchez House in St. Augustine, Florida was born filled with gorgeous florals by Shea Hopely, vintage chairs from Beachview Event Rentals, a tablescape designed by Amber Veatch using Dishie Rentals, floral inspired invitations by Chirp Paperie, and a paper floral garland inspired by BHLDN crafted by me... no surprise for all you who know how much I love to hang stuff. Making this was probably the most fun thing I have ever had in the house as far as Tigger is concerned. No really... I taped each individual strand onto our media station in our living room before tying it onto the wooden plank and trust me when I say he absolutely loved it. Silly cat always thinking my arts and crafts projects are for him. Amanda Hopcraft did our model's hair and makeup and our faux bride (who actually is getting married herself sometime soon) was rocking a dress and veil from Simply Bridal. The gorgeous collar necklace, fabric floral halo, champagne sash, and fuzzy vest were handmade by the talented SCAD student, Adrienna McDermott. Which brings me to my favorite part of this shoot. Every once in awhile I get these great ideas that everyone else thinks are completely ridiculous but for some reason people go along with me regardless. So when I came up with the fabulous idea of having our model put on the fuzzy vest and Adrienna approved, we got Andi to quickly capture the model rocking it! She was such a trooper because I know she had to already be hot as crap and that vest is not meant to be worn in 115 degree heat not including the humidity.
Now to all the delicious treats!!!! The cake, large cupcakes, and shortbread lavender cookies were provided by Sweet n Flour and oh my goodness gracious were they oh-so-delicious. All of the treats Marisa made were gluten free and this probably also comes as no surprise but I think I ate every last one of those shortbread lavender cookies oh and of course I tried all of the cupcake flavors and the cake. Before the shoot we were a little nervous about that cake surviving the shoot but I must say I have to give Marisa major props for decorating a cake that is heat-proof and melt-proof. The pretty green macarons, mini cupcakes and pies and those mini shooters were by Small Bites. The shooters were my absolute favorite... I think I had 3. Maybe 4. Oops. You're probably thinking now no wonder Nicole loves styled shoots... she gets to eat pounds and pounds of sweet treats for free. Well, I'm not going to lie, it is very true. I have such a sweet tooth. I blame it on my dad who used to eat a large bowl of ice cream every night while I was growing up. Anyway, hope you enjoy the stunning photography by Andi Mans!
Thank you to all the amazing ladies and vendors that helped out with this shoot! Ya'll were amazing!!!
