SIMPLY BORROWED: Paprika Southern Holiday Issue + Sarah Seven Blythe
We love working with the ladies at Paprika Southern! Their online magazine is filled with art and style, but with a southern twist! Their work is always stunning, and when Bevin asked us to borrow a gown for their holiday shoot, we knew the perfect one! Blythe by Sarah Seven is a beaded lace a-line with Sarah's signature corset top. She is both southern and modern, with her beading detail and figure flattering silhouette. We are so glad we got to be apart of this shoot, with some great vendors! To see the rest of the shoot, with some fabulous clothing by Custard, Red Clover and Harper, click here!

THOUGHTS TUESDAY: Why We Love Opals
I (Adrienna) love opals, like I really really love opals. I've always loved the flecks of colors that swirl around in pal jewelry, and the rainbow of colors. I love how they change colors in various lighting, with different colors popping out in sunlight, and different colors inside. I love wearing my opal ring, which was a lovely gift from my boyfriend (shout out to Woody for picking a nice ring). We also love when a bride dares to be different, either with her opal engagement ring, or opal accessories! We have some amazing opal options in the shop, like this Twigs and Honey hair vine, or sashes by Hushed Commotion. It's such a gorgeous alternative to rhinestones and beading, opals catch the light in a spectacular way!

SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Carolina Bride} Lowcountry Vow
When incredible photographer, Sawyer Baird, contacted us to see about borrowing a dress and accessories for a book we obviously said yes and were seriously delighted. And today we received the book, Carolina Bride, and are pretty much so distracted that the thought of getting any work done today seriously just went out the window. It feels pretty surreal and is very very exciting. To see your business name in a BOOK? That is just crazy to me and so amazing. Pinching myself I am so excited. Anyway, huge thank you to Sawyer for contacting us!! This is a dream come true!! Anyway, here are some snaps of the book, but it is a gorgeous book and I would highly recommend for a coffee table addition for all you brides to be!!
Also, on the website you can see some more sneak peeks from the book here:

SIMPLY BORROWED: Savannah Romance
Back in May the incredible and crazy talented Saywer Baird asked us to borrow a gown. She was looking to do a soft and romantic shoot here in Savannah, which we loved! At the time we were having our Saint Isabel trunk show, and knew her Julia gown would be perfect. With her illusion neckline, soft chiffon, and lace bodice, we knew this was the one! Paired with our chantilly lace veil by Jaclyn Jordan and hair vine by Twigs and Honey, it was a match made in heaven. This amazing shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty, and will be apart of the Carolina Bride Book that came out in November!
If you LOVE this amazing gown, you're in luck!! We will have another trunk show with Saint Isabel January 31st - February 7th 2015. This is an appointment only engagement, and it's never too early to book yours!

STYLED SHOOT: Oddities
We are SO SO EXCITED to finally share this shoot with everyone! We shot this back in January, and it was epic, and was even featured on Halloween on Ruffled!! We called in one of our favorite Savannah photographers Rach Lea to shoot it, and we knew our friend Rachel would be perfect, with her awesome tattoo's and overall bad-ass-ness. (Best part is that she is now engaged, and got the most amazing Rebecca Schoneveld gown from us!!) She wore an asymetrical gown by Faith Thornburg, with a funky tulle and fishnet veil by Twigs and Honey. Milan Day Spa did her faux hawk, and Lindsey Wirht did her dramatic makeup.
The shoot took place at an old dairy farm, which has an almost haunted feel to it. Savannah is known for being a haunted city so it fit really well but in a completely different way than vendors normally portray Savannah. For an added treat, our guy model brought his 2 pets: a boa constrictor and a pitbull, which were perfect touches for the theme, except for when the boa constrictor decided to slither on the table... If you think the shoot is spooky, wait until you see the incredible video by CINEMoBIUS!

THOUGHTS TUESDAY #9: Gold is the New Silver
While working at David's Bridal it was silver, silver, silver and more silver. But at Ivory + Beau we have been seeing a whole new trend and that is that brides lately are loving gold. And with that we have decided that Gold is the New Silver and we are loving it. I don't mean obnoxious yellow fake looking gold but rather a pretty and subtle gold, which shines, shimmers and looks stunning on. Proclaimer before reading on... I promise these dresses we are showing you do have a golden tint but it is very very subtle and very very difficult to find an image online where you can see the real detail and the beauty of these gowns. They are just ones you have to see in person to really be able to appreciate the detail and the golden shimmer. That being said... call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule an appointment!
1. Gold lace, gold sequins, gold beading, we love it all. We have 3 dresses that we consider gold: this lacy golden shimmer art deco inspired gown from Rebecca Schoneveld, this soft whimsical golden buttery Sarah Seven dress with gold threaded lace, and our Golden Lights all over sequin Sarah Seven dress which comes in both long and short. I know it is kind of hard to tell from these images that they have a gold shimmer but they really do and they really are some of our favorite dresses that brides too are loving.
2. Forget silver based accessories... gold is where its at. We are loving these bridal headpieces and sashes that use gold instead of silver. They stand out so much more when paired with pearls and bling than the traditional silver. Plus there's just something about gold that fits the vintage, soft and romantic bride where as silver is for the Cinderella traditional bride. Twigs & Honey makes the prettiest gold hair vines adorned with pearls and swarovski crystals and don't even get me started on how much I love their gold bows. And Hushed Commotion has an awesome gold birdcage that I am seriously obsessed with. That's not all though, we have way more in the shop that we love love love. If you are already have your dress but are interested in bringing in your dress to shop accessories to find that perfect piece to complete your look let us know and we can even bring in our custom accessories designer, Adele Amelia, to work with you to create the perfect accessory!

SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Style Me Pretty Georgia} Savannah Bridal Shoot Inspiration
When Sawyer Baird approached us last minute about borrowing a dress and accessories for a styled shoot we looked at her photography and instantly said yes please. Her photography is just magical and so pretty. Sawyer borrowed one of the Ivana Krejci gowns that we had for our Pop-Up Shop with the designer this past spring and used a Jaclyn Jordan veil and a Twigs & Honey headpiece. The shoot took place at a private residence in Savannah. Michelle Royal did hair and makeup for the beautiful model, Sawyer Greenberg, who also was a model for this shoot I did back in the day with Shannon Christopher. The beautiful calligraphy and florals in this shoot are by Sarah Ingram and are so lovely and pretty. Anyway, so excited to share that this shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty Georgia today!!! Such a great feature so make sure to check out all the little details of everything and thank you again to Sawyer for photographing our items so beautifully!

SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {A Lowcountry Wed} Southern Belles
You guys!!! We were up on A Lowcountry Wedding yesterday with our Southern Belles styled shoot!!! This was such a fun shoot to style and design mostly because it was so different from anything we had ever done and very different from our normal aesthetic of lets-pick-out-all-the-weird-stuff-and-throw-it-together. This shoot was different. This shoot was Southern, Southern, with a little more Southern set on the cutest little farm and wedding venue, Woodlawn Plantation. Rach Lea originally contacted us for this shoot and we were so excited to do something a little more ordinary yet a little more not our normal look. We had 3 gorgeous models, Alison Epps who you may know from Alison Epps Photography; Sarah Tollerson who if you don't know well you should know because she's an awesome singer who plays live music around town all the time; and Jennifer Lenn who is just gorgeous!! Anyway, to see all the details and more from the beautiful ladies go on over to A Lowcountry Wedding to see the rest of the shoot and you can see more on our post here!! And huge thank you to Erin for featuring us + thank you to all the vendors who collaborated on this shoot!!

Why We Love Our Designers #3: Bridal Accessories Designers
So you saw a bridal accessory you love on Pinterest. But you also saw another bridal accessory you saw on Pinterest. And maybe even you saw a third. And you just love them all, well parts of them. And you're thinking to yourself, now if these two accessories were combined and this one had the tulle and rhinestones mixed with the feathers and pearls from this one plus the glitter from this third one then everything would be complete + you would finally be ready to get married. We understand. It's important to find that perfect piece that completes the entire look. That piece that says, I am the bride. I am getting married. I am ready. I am in love. And this is what I'm going to wear to say I do in. We get it. We really do. The perfect sash can make or break a dress. The perfect veil can change a dress from just a dress to oh my gosh that's my dress. The perfect headpiece can bring out that Great Gatsby look you wanted to rock so bad. We seriously seriously get it. And we want to be a part of this process just as much as we want to be a part of shopping for your wedding dress.
But... this post isn't about why you should come shop with us for your wedding dress (although you should). But no... this post is about why you should come shop with us for your bridal accessories. Enlist prettiness in pictures now with some words mixed in just to keep things interesting.
1. We now have 5 bridal accessories-only designers* plus 2 bridal designers who also have accessories. That's 7 designers. 7 handpicked by us designers. 7 awesome designers who rock. 7 designers with a crazy large assortment of options to choose from. Now that doesn't mean we have every single thing from these designer's collections in our store... but... you know what's different about shopping at a boutique as opposed to a chain??? We can work directly with you and our designers to bring your dream accessory directly to you. That's right. And this is honestly the part we love the most. So if you are looking for a bridal accessory send us pictures of what you love. And you know what we are going to do for you?! We are going to first pick out the pieces we do have in stock that we think will fit your vision and we are going to get those ready for you to look at and then... we are going to scour our designer's collections of what we don't currently carry and then we are going to ask them to ship it directly to us just for you. True life. It just happened. And it was awesome. And this is why we love our designers so much. Because they want to make your dreams come true too. They want you to feel beautiful on your wedding day just as much as we do. So contact us today with your dream bridal accessory + we will find it and bring it to you. It's our mission in life and it's why we opened this shop and it's what we love doing.
2. So maybe your dream bridal accessory doesn't exist yet. Maybe it's just not out there. Maybe you just really want cat lace on a tulle bow with rhinestones and pearls in it and that just hasn't ever been made. Because maybe you are just that bride who is so unique and so awesome that you are a trendsetter and what you want is so awesome that it has just never been done. Do not fret. We recently added a brand new designer who is local to Savannah. So if you are interested in having a completely custom bridal accessory made just for you then call us. We will contact our awesome bridal accessory designer and we will have her come in just for you. Pretty cool huh? I think it's cool. I also think that both Adrienna + I are super jealous of the bride who found kitty cat lace on Etsy and is getting a custom headpiece made... Just saying.
So, are you looking for the perfect bridal accessory to complete your look and to bring everything together?? Well, call us, e-mail us with pictures of what you want, and we will get you set up with a bridal accessories appointment and then all will be complete with the world. I mean with your bridal attire. ;)
Huge huge huge thank you to our amazing bridal accessories designers: Hushed Commotion, Twigs & Honey, Jaclyn Jordan, Recherche, Stella's Design, Elaya Vaughn and Faith Thornburg!!! We are obsessed with every single one of you and are super thankful for how amazing to work with you all have been!!!!
