At Ivory + Beau we love the idea of mixing and matching. There are so many combinations you can do with veils and accessories, but what about the dress? Well, we have overlays! These are the perfect way to add lace or sleeves to any gown. Are you dreaming of a lace long sleeve gown, but you are in love with Dakota by Nicole Miller, a strapless mermaid? No problem! Add the Brooke top by Rebecca Schoneveld and you have your self the perfect combination. Having this opens allows every strapless gown we have be turned into the gown of your dreams. So how can you style this new bridal look? Below we show a crimson wedding, with tons of glass candle holders, and the cutest red bridesmaid gowns ever! The top featured is Marisol by Rebecca Schoneveld, Photographed by Lavender and Twine, and was featured on Style Me Pretty! P.S Check out the Cosette Sash by Hushed Commotion she is wearing! It's one of our top selling sashes!

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Truvelle Trunk Show + Rose Gold
One of our last Trunk Shows of the year is Truvelle! We had her show in the Spring, and we can't wait to have another one this fall! Her gowns are such a huge hit, and we know Savannah brides will love them! One of Truvelle's signatures are their use of rose gold sequins. First seen in the Eden gown, Gaby, the designer, has brought the popular rose gold into her new Sierra gown. We will have her new 2015 collection

THOUGHTS TUESDAY #9: Gold is the New Silver
While working at David's Bridal it was silver, silver, silver and more silver. But at Ivory + Beau we have been seeing a whole new trend and that is that brides lately are loving gold. And with that we have decided that Gold is the New Silver and we are loving it. I don't mean obnoxious yellow fake looking gold but rather a pretty and subtle gold, which shines, shimmers and looks stunning on. Proclaimer before reading on... I promise these dresses we are showing you do have a golden tint but it is very very subtle and very very difficult to find an image online where you can see the real detail and the beauty of these gowns. They are just ones you have to see in person to really be able to appreciate the detail and the golden shimmer. That being said... call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule an appointment!
1. Gold lace, gold sequins, gold beading, we love it all. We have 3 dresses that we consider gold: this lacy golden shimmer art deco inspired gown from Rebecca Schoneveld, this soft whimsical golden buttery Sarah Seven dress with gold threaded lace, and our Golden Lights all over sequin Sarah Seven dress which comes in both long and short. I know it is kind of hard to tell from these images that they have a gold shimmer but they really do and they really are some of our favorite dresses that brides too are loving.
2. Forget silver based accessories... gold is where its at. We are loving these bridal headpieces and sashes that use gold instead of silver. They stand out so much more when paired with pearls and bling than the traditional silver. Plus there's just something about gold that fits the vintage, soft and romantic bride where as silver is for the Cinderella traditional bride. Twigs & Honey makes the prettiest gold hair vines adorned with pearls and swarovski crystals and don't even get me started on how much I love their gold bows. And Hushed Commotion has an awesome gold birdcage that I am seriously obsessed with. That's not all though, we have way more in the shop that we love love love. If you are already have your dress but are interested in bringing in your dress to shop accessories to find that perfect piece to complete your look let us know and we can even bring in our custom accessories designer, Adele Amelia, to work with you to create the perfect accessory!
