Alterations are appointment only and we recommend scheduling your first fitting 1-2 months before your wedding date. SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Hushed Commotion Bridal Accessories + a Holiday Party

Holidays are coming up. Which means holiday parties are also coming up. Which means time to purchase a new party dress? Maybe some sparkly heels? Glitter tights? All of the above? Last year we styled a mini bridal accessories shoot with Mackensey Alexander and Beyond Beautiful by Heather at Ships of the Sea Museum. We wanted to come up with some stylish ways for brides to re-use their bridal accessories during the holidays. One of my favorites was this pearl and sparkly sash by Hushed Commotion. DESIGNER FEATURE: Carlee Sizemore

Gosh it feels so weird sitting down to write a blog post (Nicole here!). I never have time to write blog posts anymore and so this is a nice change of pace for once. Anyway, Carlee Sizemore approached us a few months ago about us possibly carrying her collection in our shop and I was delighted because Carlee Sizemore was a designer, a blog and a website that I was enamored with and she was just an inspiration to me from afar when I was first getting into blogging and the wedding industry. And lo and behold now we are holding a Pop-Up Shop with this amazing accessories designer!! Her accessories are whimsical and bohemian and exactly what we are all about and love so much. So today I am featuring this designer and we cannot wait to have the event with her pieces! What I love most about these accessories is how unique they are and how different they are from every other designer out there. Her pieces feature soft silks, semi-precious stones and sparkle that are handmade. The designer is located in Atlanta and loves floral arrangements and botanicals. Soft, romantic and makes a statement all at the same time. Cannot wait to see these beautiful pieces in person! Thank you Carlee!!

Here at Ivory and Beau we strive to create a one of a kind experience for all of our brides. One way we are able to do this is to have an exclusive accessories designer! Adele Amelia is designed by Nicki, who lives right here in Savannah. That means she is available to make custom accessories, from sashes to veils, locally! Do you want a custom lace veil? She can do it. Can't seem to match your bridesmaid dresses, but want a matching sash? She can find you the right sash and custom make you the perfect accent! Looking for a birdcage in gold? We have one! Having a local designer means YOU can become the designer! Anything you have in mind, she can make. Another amazing part of having Nicki local is that she can make items last minute. Is your wedding this weekend, but you still need a veil? She can do it! (In fact, this happened this month!) SIMPLY BRIDAL: Hushed Commotion Lookbook

When Thea, the designer of Hushed Commotion, sent us the look book of her 2014 collection ours jaws dropped! Not only are her accessories stunning, but the photography by Jen Huang is amazing! When we saw Thea's items at market, we knew we had to add her to the shop. Her work is unique but with a touch of vintage. We especially love her use of gold (the must have metallic in bridal!). All of her items are handcrafted with love in Brooklyn,  New York. We are so happy to be one of 6 stores that carry her line (and the only one in the south!)
