BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Jillian Fellers
Are you loving the two piece trend, but might not be ready to have your girls rock it on your wedding day? Then this BCBG dress is the perfect solution. The pink band in the middle makes it look like two pieces, but it's not! So your bridesmaids can wear the trend, while still keeping it classic and not too trendy. We love the soft pastels of the dress, and thought it paired perfect with Vivien by Jillian Fellers. Vivien is a sophisticated silk satin and silk chiffon dress, with a fitted corset top and flowing skirt. The back features an intricate lace racer back detail, and cascading straps. We will have this gown, and the rest of her Spring 2016 collection, through the end of July. So just a few weeks left! Make sure to schedule an appointment to come and shop with us!

REAL BRIDE: Kylee + Chris
Kylee was such a sweet bride we got to help last year! She had the most gorgeous opal ring I've ever seen (and I LOVE opals!!) and was looking for the perfect gown for her wedding to Fiance Chris. She chose Marlo by Elaya Vaughn, a silk charmeuse gown with a wrap front and low back. To incorporate her love for opals, she got a moonstone and rhinestone sash from Blush by Hayley Paige, and we think it matched perfectly! We wish Kylee + Chris nothing but the best on their future together!! Thank you to Mackensey Alexander for the photo's!

BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Blush by Hayley Paige + Orange
Can you believe it's June? We sure can't! Time has been going so quickly at the shop, and summer is already flying by! Summer means bright colors, and one of the funnest colors to use is orange. This bold color doesn't need much to make a punch! There are so many hues you can use, from soft peaches to bright sunburnt orange (like the bridesmaids dress we picked) We were inspired by this shoot on Ruffled, with so many shades of orange! Plus, they used Lotus by Blush by Hayley Paige, which we have in the shop! She has soft chiffon lace and handkerchief hem details.
We are running out of space in the shop, so we added even more gowns as part of our summer sample sale! We have a rack under $1000, a rack of gowns that are $1000, and a section $1100-$2000. This is a great way to get a dress quick, and at a huge discount! Samples are in good to great condition, and range from size 2-14. Make sure to shop early to get the best selection!!

STYLED SHOOT: The Brice Pool Party
EEK! We are so so so excited to share this shoot with you guys! Back in March we did an amazing shoot with Apt. B Photography at The Brice Hotel's pool deck! We were the first ones allowed to do a shoot on their newly built pool deck, and man oh man were we excited to work there! We decided to go with a retro-glam feel, and wanted to use a blush dress. We went with Opal by Blush by Hayley Paige, which has an amazing opal/moonstone sash. For accessories we collaborated with Shana at Chloe + Isabel, who had so many to choose from. It was so fun to get to play with all of the options, and pick what we liked best. The bridesmaids gowns were from Fabrik, who were kind enough to let us borrow some awesome black dresses. Heather of Beyond Beautiful by Heather did the hair and makeup, which looked perfect as always. We got to have some great food by Pacci, which is located in The Brice Hotel. Everything was delicious, and the best part? Leopold's Ice Cream did an ice cream bar for us! They have the cutest tricycle that features a cooler, so they can come on location and make sundaes or ice cream sandwiches (which is AMAZING at weddings!) We were glad we got to work with them, and showcase the newest way to have Leopold's! This was such a fun shoot to do, not only because of all of the amazing vendors, but because the models were all friends of ours. We got to hang out together, and get our pictures taken! Plus Wendy at Apt. B Photography is so, so fun to work with, and so talented! We also DIY'd the ceremony backdrop, which we featured HERE!
Just to prepare you.. this is a long blog post. There were so many pictures to choose from... we just chose to share them all! You can also see our feature on Wedding Chicks!! So sit back + enjoy!

REAL BRIDES: Gabby + Bo
I could write a novel on how much we love Gabby, and how her amazing her wedding was. Gabby was the sweetest bride, and was a perfect fit at Ivory + Beau. For her rehearsal gown, she chose Blushing by Sarah Seven in short, which is just so freaking cute on her, paired with a blinged out sash. It was so perfect at her rehearsal dinner at Cohen's Retreat, surrounded by blush flowers, family and friends. For her ceremony she wore another Sarah Seven, Cascade, which fit her like a dream. Everything about Cascade matched her personality, fun and free spirited. She chose a gold sash by Hushed Commotion, and a custom veil by Adele Amelia that featured gold lace from her gown. Her reception was hosted at a private residence, and the ladies at Design Studio South did such an amazing job (as always!), making the already gorgeous house look wedding day perfect. We love the details they put in, like gingham napkins and vintage furniture rentals. A HUGE shout out to Mackensey Alexander for the amazing photography, we couldn't have picked a more perfect photographer for this couple. We are going to miss having Gabby in the shop, but are so excited for her future life with Bo!! Check out more images from their wedding up on Mackensey's Blog!

DIY: Geometric Shapes + Wedding Chicks Feature
We love to do DIY projects, and for our most recent shoot at The Brice Hotel with Apt. B photography, we knew we wanted to make a cool ceremony backdrop. The theme was mid-century modern, so we wanted to do something geometric. We decided to make geometric shapes using wooden dowels and styrofoam balls. This was so easy to make, and you can make shapes as large or small as you want! Ours turned out to be about 2' by 2', which were perfect when they were hung behind the couple. This only takes a few steps, and you can use any color spray paint to achieve any look you want!
Check out the rest of this shoot on Wedding Chicks today!
Check out the rest of this shoot on Wedding Chicks today!
1. Get all of your supplies!
2. Spray paint the wooden dowels. You can use any size you wish, that way you can make various shapes.
3. Figure out where you would like the wooden dowels attached to the styrofoam balls. Make a dent, so you know where to glue in step 4.
4. Glue the wooden dowels to the styrofoam. Make sure the dowel is 1/2 inch in, to assure it stays together.
5. Attach all of your pieces, making any shape you wish. We also had a few that had extra appendages, so they were not just enclosed shapes.
6. Viola! 3D geometric shapes! These can easily be hung using fishing line.

WEDDING TRENDS: Lawn Games
One of the funnest trends we have seen are lawn games. This is such a fun way to get guests together, and let them have some fun during cocktail hour and the reception! Our couple this weekend, Meagan + Brenden had cornhole boards, and they were played all night. Guests loved it! There are so many games you can have for an outdoor wedding, like badminton, ring toss, and hoola-hoops! You can also play games inside, like giant Jenga, checkers, and cards. Having games at your wedding are sure to be a hit with guests, both young and old.

SIMPLY WED: Tiffany + Sean
We are SO EXCITED to finally share Tiffany + Sean's wedding! We have been waiting since September to share these with you!! It was just featured on Green Wedding Shoes, so now we can finally share with you all. Tiffany + Sean's wedding was so amazing, filled with so many DIY projects, and she had one of the coolest dresses ever. Seriously, her dress was amazing. Tiffany came in loving the idea of a blue dress, and we were able to get our designer Faith Thornburg to customize one of her gowns with a blue lining! Plus we got the perfect blue sash from Jaclyn Jordan, for the perfect amount of sparkle. But after her ceremony, she knew she wanted to wear a bow. And what better way to wear a bow then with a cat on it!! (Tiffany loves cats. Like really really loves cats. You'll see from all the cat touches how much she loves them! And if you know Nicole and I, you know we are pretty obsessed with cats too. So Tiffany and us were a match made in Kitty Cat Heaven). Our accessory designer Adele Amelia was able to make her a custom bow with pearls, and a lace kitty cat center. We also love her touch of lace with her Chantilly lace veil by Jaclyn Jordan. It added the perfect amount of softness, and we love how it flows in the pictures!
Tiffany wanted to DIY a lot of details, like her invitations (which she hand embroidered each one, and did the calligraphy!) They had a jam and biscuit bar for cocktail hour, and all of the jam was handmade. Tiffany made labels and wrapped each jam so cute, plus guests could take them home as a gift.
Their wedding took place at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum, with amazing decor. Tiffany made a pillow for each guest, and had a variety of different patterns and colors. It was such a thoughtful touch, and guests were able to take theirs home as a gift. Instead of a traditional arch, she wanted to use balloons. A to Zinnias created a floating backdrop, with large balloons and greenery. It was gorgeous, and so unique! We have never seen a floating ceremony backdrop! Izzy Hudgins captured everything perfectly, as she always does.

WEDDING TRENDS: White on White
When I think of all white weddings, I tend to think of sterile and boring. But with white weddings becoming more popular, we wanted to find ways to add white to your wedding, while keeping fresh and modern, and full of texture. You can go bold with your white and have your bridesmaids in white gowns, or just add touches of white in your decor and accessories.
1. Ever since Kate Middleton had her maid of honor in white, white bridesmaids have been trendy! Celebrities including Solange Knowles had their ladies in white. We love this idea, especially if you are okay with not being the only one in white. We recommend sticking with a simple dress, without too much detail and pattern, so the focus is still on you!
2. White bouquets are stunning, and we love mixing it up a bit! A white bouquet doesn't have to be just white roses and hydrangeas. Instead, have your florist add lots of greenery, and even succulents, for more depth. The more texture you add, the more white you can have, and make it fun and classic at the same time!
3. White milk vases are a great way to add white to your reception. We recently got dozens of them for a wedding, and we know we will be incorporating them into many more weddings to come! They have a touch of vintage, but with a modern feel. Plus we love all of the shapes and patterns they come in. Don't be scared to mix and match sizes and textures at the table, this will look awesome with an all white reception! White linens, white plates, and white flowers add some texture to make it less sterile and boring, and more romantic.
4. Last, but not least, add white to your accessories! Have the girls wear white jewelry, or even add a chunky ring. The classic white manicure is perfect for your wedding! Have a ladies day out before your big day and have each girl get a white mani. We love the color Nicolette by Julep, and love that it is breathable and conditions your nail bed!

BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Ti Adora + Rose Confetti
We just received this gown by Ti Adora and we are in LOVE! Piper is a ivory over cashmere lace mermaid gown, with a basket weave criss cross bodice, sweetheart neckline, and lace appliques. She is soft, elegant, and seriously a show stopper. We love how Ti Adora styled their look book, with rose confetti! This got us inspired to go a rose gold wedding, complete with pops of confetti and glitter. We love having a matching manicure, and this confetti toss gift set from Julep is a perfect gift for your bridesmaids. Rose gold accessories can be hard to find, but at Ivory + Beau we have quite a few sashes and hair pieces in rose gold, from designers Adele Amelia and Marisol Aparaicio. So even if you have your gown, but are looking for some rose gold accents, make sure to stop by our shop and try some on!
We will have the complete Spring 2015 Ti Adora collection in our shop through this weekend, May 16th. Appointment space is limited this weekend, so make sure to book yours now!

Each season Ti Adora gets better and better! Designed by the same designer as Alvina Valenta, Ti Adora is the softer, more bohemian sister. They blend soft fabrics, intricate detail, and gorgeous laces to create a collection that is free-spirit, romantic and definitely Savannah. It's a fresh take on the boho bride, and so far our brides have loved the Spring 2015 collection, especially Sophie + Britney!! Plus, all of the gowns are under $2500, so budget friendly.
We will be hosting a trunk show with all of the Spring 2015 gowns from May 8th - 16th ONLY! We are also offering 10% all Ti Adora orders during the show, so set up your appointment before we book up!

SIMPLY WED: Jahziel + Iggy
Jahziel & Iggy's wedding was stunning that took place in Forsyth Park in historic Savannah, GA. Their wedding was filled with handmade details, that were personal to them (like the grooms WWE Championship Belt the bride presented to him at dinner!) They wanted to incorporate their son and his likes, hence the matchbox escort cars! Jahziel wanted it to be sexy and girly, so she chose a color palate of gold and pink, with some sparkle. Their photographers, Six Hearts Photography, captured the details in a photojournalistic and unique way, showcasing each moment of the night, from getting ready to the dance party. The bridal bouquet was packed with White and blush garden roses, white spray roses, white and blush ranunculus, white and black anemones, and scabiosa pods. Their ceremony took place at Historic Forsyth Fountain, and even though it was rainy, the couple wouldn't let it dampen the fun! At the beginning of each aisle stood gold, glitter covered vases with Baby’s Breath. For aisle markers, there were paper cones with pink petals in them and instructions for guests to throw them as the bride and groom walk down the aisle together at the end of the ceremony. Their reception took place at Garibaldi's, a gorgeous restaurant in downtown Savannah. Not only did they have a cake (with an adorable cake topper exclaiming "She's His Lobster") but they had a donut cake with humorous images of Arnold Schwarzenegger, professional football players, and other manly men. Their wedding was one of the funnest we have gotten do to, and the couple were so incredibly sweet, and was the easiest couple we have ever worked with! They were so relaxed, and really wanted their day to be care free and fun. Check out their feature on Brown Sparrow Weddings!!

THOUGHTS TUESDAY: Doggy + Weddings
So I've officially crossed into the world of dogs. My boyfriend and I adopted a golden labrador retriever, and man is she cute! I've always wanted an animal at my wedding, and unfortunately I don't think our cats would be good participants. Sure, my boy cat is chill, but I don't think he would sit for very long, or want to be on a leash! So that leaves our new dog, Daisy, to have the honors. There are so many ways to incorporate dogs in your wedding, from them actually being there, to doggy inspired gifts!
One way is having your special friend on the day of the wedding! Dress them up in a flower crown, and let them be the center of attention. You can let them be the ring bearer or flower girl, or let them join the reception (if they are calm enough around all that noise). Your puppy will be the most popular person of the evening, which he/she will love. If you do have your pup, make sure you have someone who is willing to help gold them, and make sure they are happy the whole night, and clean up their messes.
If your doggy isn't the best around crowds, or you can't let her come to the wedding, you can always have her there in spirit! Have your guest book be your pub, or your cake toppers replicas of your animals! You can also have them be part of your table numbers, whether it's an outline of them, or a picture you took of them with the table number around their neck (so cute!) Etsy has so many options that are doggy inspired, and when they are handmade you can make sure they look just like your dog! I will want a cake topper that has both by kittys and doggy when I get married (Yes I sound like I'm 12)
Gifts are a great way to show your love of pooches, without them being there! One option is to give each guest a doggy bag for a gift, and give money to a local animal charity. You can also have baskets or gift bags with dog friendly gifts and treats. Or you can have drink stirrers with dogs on them or for my favorite idea, knitted doggies! You can give guests a DIY kit so they can make their own doggies (how cute!)

DRESSES WE LOVE: Blush by Hayley Paige
If you have been in our shop this week, you probably saw this dress on our mannequin in the window! 1104 is one of the Blush best sellers, and we can see why! She has a soft cotton lace, champagne lining, and gorgeous key-hole back. She looks great with and without a sash, and there are so many veils you can wear with it! We also have her sister dress, 1057, which is the strapless version! Both gowns are on borrow, so we won't have them for much longer! Make sure to set up your appointment!

SIMPLY BORROWED: Jade and Matthew Take Pictures + Rebecca Schoneveld
As you saw earlier this week, one of our dresses was featured on Green Wedding Shoes! Gray Harper Event Maker + Jade and Matthew teamed up to do a shoot at The Florence, a new restaurant and venue here in Savannah. The ceremony take place up on the rooftop deck, with rehearsal dinner and reception in the restaurant below. They wanted to do a blue sea theme, and wanted a blue dress (which of course we have!) They borrowed our Mia-Elizabeth by Rebecca Schoneveld, and it fit perfectly! We love the hair by Wicked Lulu and makeup by Dollface by Jules, especially the touch of pink lipstick and blush. I wish they could do my hair and makeup every day. The paper goods by Lavender & Honey are pretty amazing, and we especially love the sea glass calligraphy by Low Country Paper Co. See some of our favorite images below, and check out the feature on Green Wedding Shoes!
