SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Sarah Seven + Desert Dreaming
Sarah Seven has some amazing bridal editorials, and her newest one might be our favorite! Their newest collection shoot was called "Desert Daydreaming" and took place in Palm Springs California. The natural setting really showcases the gowns, and shows how soft and flowing they are! One of our gowns from that collection is Broome, which has a dramatic open back and lace high neck with scalloped lace detail. Broome is part of our Summer Sample, and you can purchase the sample off the floor for 30% off!! It's a size 8, and in excellent condition. We've added lot's of new gowns to our sample sale to make room for all of our new gowns that will be arriving in fall! We are by appointment only, so make sure to set yours up!

GOWNS WE LOVE: Sarah Seven Amour
We love Sarah Seven, and so do our brides! They love how soft and flowy her gowns are, and how structured her corset tops are. Amour is a soft chiffon gown with lace detail and a sweetheart neckline. It can come with or without straps (although we LOVE it with the straps off the shoulder, all slouchy and romantic, like her Lafayette gown) You can wear Amour all year long, from an out door spring wedding with bright colors, to a romantic winter wedding with deep plums and reds. Plus, Amour comes in both ivory + cement (a beige/gray tone)

SIMPLY BORROWED: Lexi Cooper
We met Lexi Cooper last year when she was looking to borrow some gowns for her photography class at SCAD! Being a SCAD alumni, I was excited to say yes! This year she borrowed multiple gowns for her portfolio class, and we are excited to share them with you! We love getting images of our gowns, especially great detail shots and movement shots. She took images at a variety of place, from historic Brockington Hall and Roundhouse Railroad Museum, to the natural beauty of the Savannah Botanical Gardens. Check out more images below!

STYLED SHOOT: A Lowcounty Wedding Bridal Editorial
We love being able to collaborate with blogs and magazines to create amazing shoots! Erin from A Lowcountry Wedding emailed us looking for us to style a bridal editorial for winter/spring edition of her magazine. She wanted an effortless and luxurious feel, with a touch of romance. Lots of flowing fabrics and lots of flowers. We teamed up with Rach Lea Photography + Belfair Plantation to hold the shoot, and had vintage rentals by Savannah Vintage Rentals. The amazing Colonial House of Flowers made some amazing bouquet's and flower crowns, which were perfect! We provided gowns from our designers Alvina Valenta, Blush by Hayley Paige + Sarah Seven.
This bridal editorial, along with our styled shoot, was featured in the winter/spring edition of A Lowcounty Wedding Magazine, available now! Tomorrow we will post the images from the styled shoot portion, and trust us, they are amazing!

THOUGHTS TUESDAY: Dear Brides
Dear brides,
Today I am here because I have a few requests from you. I am here to ask you a few favors and I am going to be quite honest while writing these requests and you may not like to hear them but sometimes we just need to say what we need to say because maybe what we are about to say isn't bad, or mean, but just the truth and it needs to be heard. So here goes. Today I am here because I have a few requests that are in regards to shopping for your wedding dress and so here goes.
1. Be open and say yes to new things. We are here to help. We are here to make you happy. We want so badly to make you happy. We want so badly for you to feel beautiful. We want so badly for you to love your dress. And we don't just want you to love your dress but we want you to be comfortable in it. So please be open with your consultant. Trust your consultant. She may pull a dress for you to try on that makes you stick up your nose in disgust. You may shake your head and say no way, not me, not happening. But in life there are things that come your way that you are going to initially deny. But I want you to think back to a time when you were presented with something you didn't want but you said yes. And then it was love. Maybe it was a plate full of oysters, all slimy and gooey but maybe you tried them anyway. And now one of your favorite things to do is shuck oysters on a Friday night with an ice cold beer. Maybe it was a can of coconut water which smells really weird and even has chunky weird stuff in it. But you tried it anyway and now you love it and drink it everyday and you get overly excited when its 2 for $3 on sale at Kroger. Or the best of them all, maybe it was a nerdy guy who asked you on a date and your initial thought was oh no he is not good enough for me but you said you would give it a shot anyway, I mean c'mon we all know we say yes to a date every once in awhile when we think we are too good for a guy but it means free dinner. But you said yes and now you are engaged and looking for your wedding dress. Goes without saying I believe I have sufficiently made my point... be open. New things will come your way, new dresses will come into your dressing room. Be open. You never know until you try it. Dare to try some pink on, or even a gown with a back cut-out detail.
2. Separates doesn't mean separate. Bridal separates are not bad. It does not mean you aren't buying a wedding dress. No, it means you have the privilege to put together your dream dress. Just because it is separate now does not mean you are getting two separate pieces when you order your dress it simply just means you get to choose the perfect bridal top for yourself and then you get a choose the perfect skirt for yourself that can fit together. You are essentially getting a custom wedding dress. Separates doesn't mean separate, give them a chance. You just might find the dress of your dreams and you got to put it together yourself.
3. Everybody has a price point. I don't care if your budget is $500 or $10,000. Everybody has some special number they want to stay within. Tell us. We aren't going to judge you but rather we are going to do the exact opposite. We are going to use that special number to help you find a dress that you not only love but that you can afford. The best part about shopping at a small boutique is that we can work with you and we know what costs what. If you tell us your budget we can direct you to the right dresses and the right accessories. We just want to help that's all. We aren't asking your price point to judge you we just want to know how we can help you. Below are three dresses by Nicole Miller, all at different price points. It's best to tell us what you are comfortable with spending, not just the designers you like, this way we can pull the best options!

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Sarah Seven Cascade + Daisies
It's SPRING, and we couldn't be more excited!! We love the fresh air, green grass, and blooming flowers. And one of our favorite spring dresses is Cascade by Sarah Seven! This gown is a creamy ivory, with gold cascading lace and the classic sweet-heart corset Sarah Seven is known for. We fell in love with this wedding from Ruffled, and wanted to pair it with Navy (to go with the grooms amazing suit) and daisies (because what better spring flower then daisies!) Plus, Cascade is part of our Spring Sample Sale, and you can get the floor sample at a huge discount! There is only a week left of our sale, so make sure to set up your appointment before it is over!

All March long we have our biggest sample sale of the year, with ALL of our samples under $2000. One dress is Blythe by Sarah Seven! SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Sarah Seven Cascade + Geometric
We love geometric design. We also love Sarah Seven. And we REALLY love Cascade by Sarah Seven. So when all three come together into a photoshoot, we get really excited. Like super duper excited. Once we saw this shoot on Green Wedding Shoes, we were inspired! Sometimes geometric shapes can be harsh and masculine, but when done in light colors and metallics, it can be feminine too! We love using bronze, gold and green with pops of baby blue. The baby blue is unexpected, but perfect!
We will have Sarah Seven's Fall 2015 collection February 28th - March 1st ONLY. This is an appointment only event, and we are almost booked for Saturday! Set up your appointment here, or give us a call at the shop!

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Sarah Seven Frenchie + Stripes
Long sleeve lace gowns can get heavy, but Frenchie is the perfect alternative for a bride who would like long sleeves, but in warmer months! She has a high neckline but an extra low back, for a touch of sexy mixed with the romance that Sarah Seven does so well. The bouquet by Wild Green Yonder was an inspiration for today's board! We love the bold look of stripes and citrus colors, and wanted to add cascading flowers with clean modern lines!
If you love Sarah Seven, we have some exciting news! We will be hosting a Trunk Show February 27th - 28th, where we will have all of the Sarah Seven collection! Appointments will be required for this event, and it is sure to book quickly. Visit our website to set up your appointment!

REAL BRIDES: Audra + Jaime
One of our sweetest brides last year was Audra. Her smile lights up the room, and she was just so easy to work with! She came in knowing she wanted something relaxed and comfortable, and she found her perfect match with Sarah Seven's Cascade gown. Cascade is made of the softest georgette, with gold lace cascading down the skirt. Cascade was perfect for her Elopement in Jamaica, and she got to wear it again for their Savannah ceremony! Thank you for sending over the pictures Audra :)

SIMPLY BORROWED: Paprika Southern Holiday Issue + Sarah Seven Blythe
We love working with the ladies at Paprika Southern! Their online magazine is filled with art and style, but with a southern twist! Their work is always stunning, and when Bevin asked us to borrow a gown for their holiday shoot, we knew the perfect one! Blythe by Sarah Seven is a beaded lace a-line with Sarah's signature corset top. She is both southern and modern, with her beading detail and figure flattering silhouette. We are so glad we got to be apart of this shoot, with some great vendors! To see the rest of the shoot, with some fabulous clothing by Custard, Red Clover and Harper, click here!

SIMPLY BORROWED: Simply Sarah Photography + Sarah Seven
On a dreary morning we set out to take pictures of our newest Sarah Seven gowns, Violet Hour, Frenchie and Coast. We were lucky enough to have an amazing roof top deck, photography by Simply Sarah and a gorgeous all lace veil we had custom made by local accessory designer Adele Amelia. We might have been rained out, but we still got some gorgeous images! We are obsessed with lace, and all three gowns show case it in different ways. The Violet Hour features a chiffon bottom with lace top and illusion neckline. Frenchie is an all lace sheath gown, with a deep back. And Coast.. well coast is perfection. It's the sister gown to Cascade; a soft georgette dress with cascading lace pieces in the softest ivory. And our veil? Well after seeing the veil Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen designed, we knew we had to have one for our shop. We picked the finest French lace, and had Adele Amelia turn it into a chapel length veil. It's stunning, and perfect. Scroll down to see the rest of these amazing pictures!

SIMPLY BORROWED: Laura Fulmer Fall Shoot
We love seeing how people style our gowns, and we are obsessed with this shoot by Laura Fulmer + Cote Designs! This shoot was recently featured on Cottage Hill Magazine, so we had to share on our blog too! Pastel Makeup and Hair made the model look like perfection! The best part is when she takes her hair down, it's a curly dream! We love how Gemma was used, with her sleek lines she is a timeless classic. They also used Marion by Sarah Seven, which has a classic corset top covered in lace, and an organza bottom. There are so many things we can say about this shoot (how amazing the photography is, the stunning flowers, the gorgeous house, the candles...) but we will let the photo's do the talking! Click below for all the pictures! (Trust us, you want to see them all!)

THOUGHTS TUESDAY: Off The Shoulder
One of springs newest trends are off the shoulder sleeves. Here at Ivory and Beau we are loving this sexy but romantic look, and have plenty of gowns to choose from! Amour by Sarah Seven has lace sleeves that can be work both on the shoulder, or off for a more romantic feel. What if you want a gown with options? Then the Marisol overlay by Rebecca Schoneveld is the perfect way to add some shoulder with any gown. You can easily add the overlay to any dress, turning any look into a gown of your dreams. Daughters of Simone's Winnie and Lu take this look to another level with their sheer lace detailing. With all of these options, which way would you choose?

BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: New Years Eve Masquerade + Sarah Seven Blythe
Whenever the ladies over at Paprika ask to borrow one of our dresses we are beyond excited. The styling and the work they produce is just magical. I am in love with this winter shoot they did for the newest Winter Issue and was inspired to put together a lookbook for bridesmaids and some bridal accessories from Rent the Runway that fit with this Sarah Seven dress and a New Years Eve Masquerade theme!! Would you be brave enough to have your ladies shining in blinged out bridesmaids dresses? It is probably one of my favorite looks for bridesmaids if it fits the theme + of course doesn't outshine your own wedding dress... Anyway, to shop Sarah Seven call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here!!
