{STYLED SHOOT} Hushed Commotion Bridal Accessories

So excited to share all the images of our mini styled shoot with Mackensey Alexander + Beyond Beautiful by Heather at Ships of the Sea Museum with our Hushed Commotion bridal accessories!!! For this styled shoot we wanted to show brides how their bridal accessories can be worn even after the wedding... So we put together a mini holiday party inspiration with Heather. Heather made over our gorgeous model and did a few different looks with the hair, makeup and accessories to show some different options!! What is your favorite look? My favorite is the pearl + gold sash being used as a headband... Such a simple glamorous look to spice up your holiday party attire!!! Thank you to Storyboard Weddings for featuring our styled shoot on their website + even huger thank you to all the vendors who helped out with this shoot!!!

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Honey Bee + Jack Daniels

How about some honey + Jack Daniels? Anyone? I know this is a super summery post, but I must say the weather here in Savannah right now is exactly what it's like during summers in Portland, Oregon where I'm from originally. But really... 80 degrees is about as hot as it ever gets. See now why I love Georgia so much??

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Gray & Neon Pink

I find wedding inspiration in the most random places... and today's inspiration is from my Michael Kors purse and my Cole Haan wallet... which are gray and neon pink.

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Woodsy & Rustic

Sometimes I get inspiration from a single picture... that's what happened today. I ran across that adorable picture of the ring bearers with their suspenders and the flower girl in that cute little gray tutu and just had to do an inspiration board using that picture. I love weddings that are unique and in the woods! We recently had one you can check out here. I love being outdoors and think that it is so fun to have a wedding outside. There are so many fun DIY ideas you can do as well. Cotton garlands anyone? I might just have to make one of those someday... Anyway, I cannot believe it's already the 7th of December! As of yesterday I officially have a house! My boyfriend and I will be getting our keys on December 14th!!! It's crazy what a rollercoaster house hunting has been... but that's a whole nother story for another day! Hope you all enjoy this woodsy and rustic wedding inspiration!

SIMPLY FLORALS: Unique Fall Bouquets

When it comes to my taste in flowers I am exactly one thing... as far from traditional as possible. I love unique floral arrangements. Love bouquets with hanging elements, especially lamb's ear or ferns. I am obsessed. And anything with succulents I am obsessed too. Also a huge fan of the black and white anemones like in the 3rd bouquet here. And how cool would it be to put an artichoke in your bouquet? I think it's so gorgeous & such a unique touch! Do you have any favorite flowers? What's your floral personality? Do you like traditional arrangements like roses or daisies? Or do you like the unique arrangements like the ones below? Next weekend, Simply Savannah Weddings & Events will have a booth at the Brides Against Breast Cancer show & I really hope you all can make it out there to see me! Also, I personally will be putting together the floral arrangements for the booth so you can just imagine they will be filled with the most unique flowers possible that I can find in Savannah! :) I am off to a meeting with a bride this morning then a wedding this afternoon! Today we will be at Whitefield Chapel, one of my favorite quaint chapels in Savannah at the Bethesda School for Boys then at 10 Downing, an amazing restaurant in the heart of Savannah near River Street! Follow my Twitter for updates & some sneak Instagram peak photos!

Intimate Wedding at Wormsloe

Sneak Peek
I love when my clients ask me to do flowers for their event. I'm not quite able to do large scale weddings by all means, but love to do bridal bouquets and small arrangements. Tomorrows intimate wedding will have only 20 guests travelling from all over to come to Savannah. My assistant Nicole and I will be helping to set up their pretty ceremony. I can't wait to share the photos that will be taken by Alexis Sweet. Here is a sneak peek of the bridal bouquet and groom's boutonniere.
(roses, billy buttons, french tulips, ranunculus, and dusty miller)

She will also be spotlighted in my upcoming Inspiration Wedding Styled Shoot with a local Savannah photographer, invitation designer, and make up artist. More details to come!!!

Her moto: Live your story, Love your life!

Have a look at some of her gorgeous work:

Her fabric flower bouquets are completely personal and customized. Each one is made with the style of the bride and groom in mind. Traditional or contemporary. Vegan or gothic. All styles are beautiful in their way and Krissy will do her best to make your flowers the very best representation of your personalities.

Each flower is individually handcrafted with high quality satin, organza, chiffon, tulle, crepe and/or veiling.
The flowers are then centered with your choice of photographs, pearls, beads, buttons, vintage buttons, charms, rhinestones, rhinestone buttons etc. A typical nosegay style bridal bouquet measures 9 inches wide by 12 inches long. Larger and smaller sizes are available.

Packages including boutonnieres, corsages, boo hoo bouquets (matching tissue cases) flower girl wands, hair accessories, pomanders, centerpieces, pew décor, and loose petals are available.

Aren't these AMAZING!!!???

Detailed wedding dress sash on a long taffeta belt. Each flower is handcrafted and every petal is deliberately formed into delicate layers. Flowers are crafted to resemble peonies, hydrangea, and poppies.

Perfect for a stylish bride! You can also add an authentic vintage brooch to the center to add some sparkle!!

The belt are 7 feet long so you have plenty of room to tie a bow or knot it and allow it to trail down the back of your dress.

Wear this belt on your wedding day and then dress up your LBD (little black dress) for your first anniversary night out.

Many thanks to the following for the wonderful images provided: http://darlingstudios.biz/ and http://www.cheyphotography.com

{Bright Idea Thursday} Craspedia a.k.a. Billy Buttons

Craspedia is a genus of daisies commonly known as billy buttons or woollyheads. They are native to Australia and New Zealand where they grow in a variety of habitats from sea level to the alps. If you saw my DIY Guest Book Idea post you would have noticed I used some billy buttons in my flower arrangements. For some reason these funny little yellow circle balls have become one of my favorite flowers and I can't get enough of them. Maybe it's their simplicity, minimalist, modern, and unique look. Lately, I have noticed them in so many wedding images, but with such interesting unique ideas that I had to share! They can be used all by themselves or combined with other flowers, feathers, or twigs. For a dramatic decorative addition they can be used to cover foam balls of different sizes, like in the first image, then placed on your table for a centerpiece element or hung with ribbon as aisle markers.Whatever you choose to do with them, they will be adorable!!!
