SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Flower Ceremony + Ti Adora Trunk Show

I'm the kind of person who loves celebrity gossip. So of course I was all over the Kim Kardashian/Kanye wedding. My favorite thing wasn't her dress, or the fabulous location... but was the ceremony backdrop! Getting married in front of a wall of flowers is heavenly (and must smell amazing!) This gown by Ti Adora would be perfect for an all white garden wedding, with it's sweet swiss dot detail, cap sleeve, and ivory hue.

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Stardust {Ti Adora Trunk Show}

Here at Ivory and Beau, we love Alvina Valenta, and when we found out they were going to have another line, we knew we had to have it! That line is Ti Adora, and features gorgeous dresses at a great price point, all under $2000! Ti Adora has soft, vintage inspired dresses, luxe embroidery, and fine beadwork. SIMPLY INSPIRED: English Garden

For once, Adrienna is writing an intro! The reason I'm so excited to write this, is because this dress is one of my all time favorites. One of the perks of having your own shop is being able to try on lots of pretty dresses, but after trying so many on, I haven't found one I loved. Then this amazing girl came into the shop, and BAM I fell in love. I love how soft and flowy it is, with the lace appliqués draping down... swoon! Plus, the underlay has a hint of sparkle, which makes it perfect for an evening garden wedding. We will only have this dress through August 9th, for our Alvina Valenta Trunk Show, and I can't wait for a bride to say yes to this dress!

Why We Love Our Designers #1: Kate Pankoke of Elaya Vaughn Bridal + Project Runway Contestant

So... today I am back to blogging. It's been so weird not blogging lately. Adrienna has really been a master blogger fiend but I am back today with a vengeance for a new blogging series I thought up while ermm... sleeping? I'm not sure where I thought of it. But whatever, I thought of it, I loved the idea and so here I am typing away with this new blogging series to talk about "Why We Love Our Designers." And today I'm starting with a designer who actually was one of our brides before being one of our bridal designers at Ivory + Beau.... Kate Pankoke. Also, this post is just in time to kick off our Elaya Vaughn Trunk Show starting tomorrow!! Also, Kate herself will be at Ivory + Beau tomorrow through Sunday March 16th!!! With that being said... here is why we love Kate Pankoke:

1. She is a ginger. And super cute. And gingers rule the world. And I'm super impartial to pretty gingers because I'm a ginger. And yeah. Enough said. But really. Nothing else needed to add here.

2. She is younger than me + been on a TV show. And I'm super young. Well not super young. Not like Adrienna young. But still 25 years young. So she's younger than 25... and she's been on Project Runway not once but twice (being on a TV show is something which is definitely on my bucket list, but at this rate might not ever happen since we keep scheduling trunk shows + more styled shoots for Ivory + Beau so not really sure when I will ever have time to travel away from Savannah to film a TV show but hey a girl can dream right?)

3. She hired me as her day-of wedding coordinator. Kate probably doesn't know this, but I guess well now she does... but I was super super super super super excited when Kate + Zach told me that they wanted me to be her day-of gal. I mean super. How cool to be helping out a Project Runway + bridal designer on her wedding day? It's awesome too because with most of my clients the contact with them ceases completely after the wedding (except for several who are freaking amazing and continued supporters of Ivory + Beau on Facebook and Instagram - love you ladies out there for this, it seriously melts my heart for real, no lies because I don't lie.) Anyway, back to Kate. So it's really really really cool that I get to have a continuing relationship with one of my clients in a whole new way and now after she hired me, it's kind of like we get to help her and her business by spreading her beautiful wedding designs to the South. This just makes me happy. Ohh and she designed her own wedding dress... which was seriously gorgeous by the way. Don't you think!? Her wedding will be up on Style Me Pretty soon and we just can't wait to share all the gorgeousness captured by Shannon Christopher of her + Zach's big day at Brockington Hall.

4. She is not afraid of a colored wedding dress. We at Ivory + Beau just love anything quirky, funky, unique and modern and Kate's dresses are just that. We love a bride who isn't afraid of color too. We are pretty excited especially about her blue sparkly wedding dress and her lavender floral print gown + her gray ball gown. We don't have these as part of our permanent inventory but all of her collection arrives tomorrow at Ivory + Beau and we cannot wait!!! We do love our 3 gowns we have from the Elaya Vaughn line though: a gorgeous sweetheart mermaid gown, a backless silky gown that is reminiscent of a Grecian goddess, and by far the softest flowiest ballgown I have ever felt. To see her entire collection that arrives tomorrow check out her website here! TRUNK SHOW: Elaya Vaughn

Our next Trunk Show is Elaya Vaughn! We have a special place in our hearts for the designer, Kate. We were day of coordinators for her recent wedding here in Savannah, and when we saw her gowns at Bridal Market we knew we wanted to get them for the shop! This weekend only we will have all of her gowns from the 2014 collection. This will be the only time to try on gowns not normally carried in the store!!! So make sure to make an appointment!

The Designer: Kate Pankoke, a designer who appeared twice on Project Runway. She lives in Chicago, where her gowns are also made.

The Collection: Modern but with a vintage and feminine feel. The gowns feature boning and impeccable corsetry, that contours to every brides shape. They come in a wide range of colors, from traditional white, to blush and lavender mist. Silhouettes include mermaid, a-line and ball-gown, and many feature asymmetrical draping.

Price Range: $1500 - $5400

Trunk Show Dates: March 13th - March 15th, with limited appointments on Sunday the 16th.

SAVANNAH LOVE Trunk Show with Faith Thornburg + Jaclyn Jordan {AND A GIVEAWAY w/MACKENSEY ALEXANDER}

We are so excited for our first trunk show next week with Faith Thornburg + Jaclyn Jordan, two SCAD alums. Make your appointment today to ensure you get a chance to come by + check it out!! Here is a sneak peek at some of Faith Thornburg's designs! That funky asymmetrical dress is being used in our styled shoot tomorrow with Rach Lea Photography! Should be lots of fun... and a lot of weirdness going on... + lots of animal details!! Anyway, Faith Thornburg is located in Atlanta, GA so she will actually be coming to our trunk show on Friday January 24th and Saturday January 25th! The designer also came out for our Grand Opening party!! She has been such an amazing designer to work with + so supportive of our new boutique!! Her dresses are all produced in the US and include many soft feminine romantic details mixed with some funky modern styles. We absolutely love all her gowns + are so excited to have the entire collection featured at our Savannah Love Trunk Show next week!!

Jaclyn Jordan is our newest designer we have added to our shop! We first fell in love with her bridal accessories at market but did not pick her up until after the New Year. She has been somewhat of a mentor to both Adrienna + myself during the opening of our store + we absolutely love her and all of her support for Ivory + Beau! Her accessories are absolutely beautiful!! My favorite pieces are her lacy veils, especially the one with the lace appliques shown below in the top left corner. She also has some beautiful blingy sashes and headpieces that I just adore!!! Cannot wait to see how brides mix and match her pieces with their dresses... going to be gorgeous!!! So many options + we are getting a custom blue veil from Jaclyn too to go with our Rebecca Schoneveld blue gown... can't wait to see it !!!!

Last but not least, we are super pumped to be collaborating with Mackensey Alexander on a giveaway during our Savannah Love Trunk Show!! SIMPLY BRIDAL: TRUNK SHOW

We are SO excited to announce our first Trunk Show here at Ivory and Beau! It will feature two designers with ties to Savannah: Faith Thornburg and Jaclyn Jordan. Faith is a SCAD alumni, and has been featured at Charleston Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and Elle Magazine. Jaclyn Jordan is an accessory designer who attended SCAD and South University, and has managed bridal boutiques here in Savannah and Atlanta. She is our go to girl when we have questions! It will be next week, with accessories here the 20th-25th, and dresses here the 24th + 25th. This is an appointment only event, so make sure to book yours today!
