It's crazy to me that I'm just now getting around to blogging this winter rustic styled shoot considering this photo shoot took place in the dead heat of the summer... This shoot was so much fun to be a part of!!! My favorite part about this shoot was that the hanging centerpiece installation was actually inspired by my living room one night... I have a furry sheepskin rug with a ghost table on top of it with a brown tray with antlers as handles + was inspired to turn that into a centerpiece and so this shoot was born. Everybody thought I was crazy for hanging those acrylic planks over the table but oh my gosh I was so happy that it worked and didn't fall over + collapse!!! Thank you to Melissa + Lee at Brockington Hall for letting us take over their venue again for the day!! Rach Lea did an incredible job capturing all the details! The bride, fellow wedding photographer, Amanda Nicole Miller, was made up by Dollface by Jules and dressed in a gray Vera Wang for David's Bridal wedding gown. She also rocked a furry jacket by Adrienna McDermott, of Ivory + Beau. Kiwi Fleur made the pretty bridal bouquet + the adorable little floral halo for the flower girl and Art POP Balloons provided the large tassel balloon. The dessert table was filled with a cake by Lulu's Chocolate Bar, macarons from Maison de Macarons, and chocolates from Cholatat by Adam Turoni with a vintage cake stand from Lillian's China. This shoot was also featured on 100 Layer Cake! Thanks again to all the vendors who made this happen!!!

Adrienna is thankful for:
I'm thankful for grace and blessings. I've been so overwhelmingly blessed this year, and I thank God for everything I've been given. I can't believe at 22 I'm able to live out my dream of having a boutique, it all feels surreal still. I'm thankful for being surrounded by family and friends who support me and this business adventure. I'm thankful for being able to have gone to SCAD, which turned my life upside down in the most perfect way. My kittys, for proving hours of entertainment and puurs and kisses. Nicole, for being crazy enough to open a bridal store with me. She has endless ideas that never cease to amaze me, and she pushes me to be better every day. I can't image any other person to be doing this with. Our new interns, for being so freaking fabulous. And for Woody, my amazing boyfriend, for constantly being there, even when I'm annoying, whiney and should be ignored.

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Floral + BHLDN Bridal Shower
All it takes is one piece to get inspiration for an event. In this case, I spotted those Lenox Floral Fusion Plates on Hayneedle and I instantly was like... bridal shower!? Yes please. I think those plates deserve some gold flatware, like most other events to be completely honest... and lots of bold floral details. I loved the modern vases from Chive, which I think when combined with the more vintage looking plates will create a fusion of styles that is both girly, modern, vintage and pretty all at the same time... if that's even possible, which I'm going to say is of course possible because anything is possible, right? What are your favorite pieces from below?!

SIMPLY PIN: Dessert Tables
I am a sucker for an amazing dessert/cake table. I also am a sucker for sweets and anything chocolate. And so at a wedding there is not much I love more than a gorgeously styled dessert table. Here are some of my favorites:

{Sneak Peak} SIMPLY WED: Amber & Patrick
Amber & Patrick are friends with Layla Mayville, previous owner of Simply Savannah Events, and so it was a lot of fun for us to work at their wedding! It was a very laid back and relaxed day that was decorated gorgeously with lovely floral arrangements done by Layla with help from me, and some fall accents like hay bales and pumpkins. The color palette was yellow, gray & a deep purple and was so pretty for fall! The ceremony took place at Forsyth Park by the fountain and the reception was at the Trustee's Garden, also known as the Charles H Morris Center! The only bad thing I have to say about the Trustee's Garden is that there are prickly things in the grass that get stuck to your feet and are kind of sort of really super painful... but other than that it is a gorgeous location and so perfect for a rustic vintage wedding! Hope you enjoy checking out the sneak peak of the event! :) And seriously how flipping adorable is their elephant cake topper!? I just showed my boyfriend & he smiled at me! Haha. But I am not sure if it is cuter than the little girl who decided to take a nap at the end of the evening...

{Bright Idea Thursday} SIMPLY BRIDAL: Designer Jewelry
So you like designer expensive jewelry but don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on it... especially after spending hunders and hundreds of dollars planning your wedding... well that's okay because here is a great idea for you to look and wear millions (well hundreds) of bucks without spending it. Rent the Runway has some amazingly fabulous jewelry pieces on their site that would be so gorgeous for your bridal jewelry. After Andrea wore gorgeous emerald earrings on her wedding day I have been envious for some emerald jewelry as stunning as hers (gifted on the day of her by her husband, David-super sweet idea!). Anyway, here are some of my favorite bling bling baubles currently on Rent the Runway. All of these pieces can be rented for anywhere from $20-150. Actual retail $105-1150.
