SIMPLY PUBLISHED: 100 Layer Cake

Boy oh boy I've been behind on blogging lately!!!! Finally catching up a little this early morning... Anyway, this feature was a few weeks ago on 100 Layer Cake + so I wanted to share with ya'll since it is one of my favorite styled shoots we've done!! I think the best part about this shoot I did photographed by Rach Lea Photography is that we did it in the middle of the summer + boy was it hot and funny that we were doing a winter themed shoot. {STYLED SHOOT} Winter Rustic Shoot at Brockington Hall

It's crazy to me that I'm just now getting around to blogging this winter rustic styled shoot considering this photo shoot took place in the dead heat of the summer... This shoot was so much fun to be a part of!!! My favorite part about this shoot was that the hanging centerpiece installation was actually inspired by my living room one night... I have a furry sheepskin rug with a ghost table on top of it with a brown tray with antlers as handles + was inspired to turn that into a centerpiece and so this shoot was born. Everybody thought I was crazy for hanging those acrylic planks over the table but oh my gosh I was so happy that it worked and didn't fall over + collapse!!! Thank you to Melissa + Lee at Brockington Hall for letting us take over their venue again for the day!! Rach Lea did an incredible job capturing all the details! The bride, fellow wedding photographer, Amanda Nicole Miller, was made up by Dollface by Jules and dressed in a gray Vera Wang for David's Bridal wedding gown. She also rocked a furry jacket by Adrienna McDermott, of Ivory + Beau. Kiwi Fleur made the pretty bridal bouquet + the adorable little floral halo for the flower girl and Art POP Balloons provided the large tassel balloon. The dessert table was filled with a cake by Lulu's Chocolate Bar, macarons from Maison de Macarons, and chocolates from Cholatat by Adam Turoni with a vintage cake stand from Lillian's China. This shoot was also featured on 100 Layer Cake! Thanks again to all the vendors who made this happen!!!

Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving yesterday!!! I don't know about Adrienna (since she's up in Virginia) but I had a great time with friends and am more stuffed with delicious food than I can imagine!! Thank you to my friends, Krystal + Rob, who took me in on this holiday when I was unable to spend it with my family!!! SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {100 Layer Cake} Whimsical Savannah Wedding Katy + Drew

A few days ago one of our Day Of weddings we did last spring with Izzy Hudgins Photography was featured on 100 Layer Cake, one of my favorite wedding blogs! Katy + Drew's wedding was one of my favorites I have done this year for a few reasons! First, it was at Southern Pine Co. and was the very first wedding to ever be held at that venue. Plus, Izzy, Layla and I had done this mint + gold styled shoot at Southern Pine Co. months earlier so it was so awesome to work a wedding there! Second, Katy has amazing taste. She used to be a wedding planner herself and so she designed and styled an awesome look with so many fun details. She had gold spray painted animals, kraft paper Instagram tags and invites, succulents + more succulents, orchids, mini terrariums in funky bud vases, a BHLDN wedding gown, kazoos for the exit, a tissue pom backdrop, custom koozies, arrows (!!!), striped paper straws, mason jars, painted bamboo flatware, Rifle paper accessories... but by far my FAVORITE things at her wedding? The AIRSTREAM as a bar + the vintage dresser for the cake table. Love love love.
