REAL BRIDE: Courtney + John

We think your wedding dress should not just be gorgeous, but comfortable. That is why we love gowns by Lena Medoyeff! All of her gowns are handmade in Portland, Oregon, and are make of 100% silk and fair trade lace. Courtney came in wanting a soft and comfortable gown, and we knew her and Lena would be a perfect match. She chose one with a v neck front, low v back, and flutter sleeves. It fit her perfectly, we it is so lightweight! And normally we talk just about the wedding dress.... but this time the grooms attire was top notch! We are IN LOVE with his burgundy suit, and honestly, I want my boyfriend Woody to get one!! Courtney + John's wedding was small and intimate, and the reception was held in the wine cellar at The Mansion on Forsyth. Thank you Kati Rosado for these gorgeous pictures!

REAL BRIDE: Kelly + Burke

Kelly was one of our sweetest brides, who was always a joy to work with! She wanted a light weight lace gown for her wedding at their home on Wilmington Island, and knew she wanted sleeves. After trying on a few Lena Medoyeff gowns, we were able to find the perfect combination of v neck front and back with long sheer sleeves. She also wanted a magnolia hair piece, so our local designer Adele Amelia made her a custom piece for her perfect day. We are so glad we got to be apart of her wedding in so many ways! BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Lena Medoyeff + Cozy Knits

We love when designers come by for their Trunk Shows! This week we will have Lynn, the designer behind Lena Medoyeff. She will be at the store for appointments to help brides find their perfect gown! Having Lynn here means you can customize her gowns, and make it exactly how you want to! 

Lynn's gowns are handmade in Portland, Oregon from all natural silk and 100% cotton. She only uses natural dyes in her gowns, so you know it is truly handmade. Today we have a wedding inspiration based off of her Christine gown, one of her most popular gowns at our shop! We love having an ivory and grey wedding, but adding a pop of coral for fun! It's not a surprise we love Lynn at Lena Medoyeff. She is kind, so supportive, and her gowns are stunning. When we had a trunk show with her last year, they were a huge hit, and we knew we had to add her! We added the Christine + Kristin gown, and we they have been so popular! One of the best parts of Lynn's gowns are how customizable they are. Want long sleeves? Can do! Want a high neckline? Yep! Keyhole back? Of course! She is able to make the dress of your dreams with her signature lace (Make sure to watch the video for her story! She is an amazing woman!) Below are all the ways the Kristin gown has been styled! She is one of our most popular gowns to be borrowed for styled shoot, and we LOVE seeing her in pictures! That lace is beyond amazing!

We are really excited to bring Lynn back to Savannah for her trunk show January 10th - 17th! SIMPLY BORROWED: Blueberry

Ashley Seawell is an incredibly talented photographer, and when she asked to borrow gowns for a shoot at Wormsloe, we were so excited! This gorgeous shoot inspired by blueberry's features a gorgeous tables-cape, beautiful cascading flowers, and the most delicious cake! The bride wore the Kristen gown by Lena Medoyeff, which we have available at Ivory and Beau, and the bridesmaids wore gowns by St. Isabel. SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Something Navy

With fall setting, all we can think about here at the shop are dark gemstone colors. We love having navy as your accent color, and what better way to do it then with some glitter? We love the use of glitter tablecloths, mixed with golds and white. Paired with this gorgeous dress by Lena Medeyoff, and it's perfect! SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Paprika Southern} A Quote, Kate Pankoke + Vineyard Romance

So beyond thrilled that one of our Lena Medoyeff gowns made the cover of online magazine, Paprika Southern, a magazine focused on art and style with a Southern twist. Also excited that my quote about the groomsmen in hot dogs from Shannon + Steven's wedding got into the magazine!!! In the magazine is also a Q&A with the bridal designer with one of our bridal designers, Kate Pankoke. Bevin, one of the editors who recently got married this fall, bought her Elaya Vaughn dress at our shop during our Trunk Show with Kate Pankoke. Anyway, we were the day of coordinators for Kate's wedding almost a year ago, photographed by Shannon Christopher at Brockington Hall so we loved getting to see the picture of Kate in the magazine wearing her gorgeous custom dress made entirely by herself that was finished a few days before the wedding. 

The editorial featuring our gown was taken at September Oaks Vineyards photographed by Lisa Marie Oquinn of Sweet Tea Photography. YOJ Events styled the entire shoot with rentals from Event Haus, Snyder Rentals and Polished; flowers from Colonial House of Flowers; our dress of course and a stylish tux from Charleston Tuxedo. Megan Mateo did hair and makeup for the lovely bride. Anyway, the team of vendors did an awesome job with everything and we loved getting to see our dress featured!! We are huge fans of Paprika Southern Magazine, so when Bevin over at Paprika contacted asking if they could borrow a dress for their Fall issue, we said yes! Bevin got her Elaya Vaughn dress from us, and we love her! This amazing editorial was shot at September Oaks by the amazing Lisa at Sweet Tea Photography. With styling by Yoj Events and flowers by Colonial House of Flowers, this shoot is stunning! The bride wore the gorgeous Krisin gown by Lena Medoyeff, which is soft, sexy and ever-so-perfect.

{STYLED SHOOT} Calligraphy, Horses + a Barn

Today we are sharing our styled shoot at Savannah's newest barn venue, Red Gate Farm, part of The Mackey House!! This venue is so perfect for a Southern wedding. Both the outside surrounding areas are beautiful as well as the barn itself. When we did our shoot they were still working on renovations and upgrades to the interior but we still loved it and cannot wait to see how it looks now! For the shoot, we were inspired by calligraphy and literature and wanted a deep color palette filled with romantic shades of scarlet, deep purples, and gold.

Allison Kuhn photographed every little detail of the shoot. We used one of our newest bridal gowns from Lena Medoyeff paired with a Hushed Commotion sash for our bride, Adrienna's boyfriend's sister Tara, who was made over by Marie Bramlett. For the ceremony we used vintage doors and pews from Savannah's newest vintage rental company, Rentiquity. Our lounge area was setup with vintage furniture from In Any Event accompanied with decor pieces from both Ultra Pom and Simply Southern Weddings and flowers designed by A to Zinnas. The reception and dessert table linens are also from Ultra Pom and are quite possibly our favorite linens in existence. Kaitlin Slattery of Forever September hand wrote the calligraphy chargers and escort cards as well as designed the adorable invitation suite filled with calligraphy and a cat illustration... our favorite of course. The other china adorning the table is from Lillian's China. Desserts from Rum Runners Bakery and Gigi's Cupcakes. Last, but most certainly not least since she is our favorite ever singer in Savannah and our good friend... Sarah Tollerson, our bridesmaid, rocking a dress from Copper Penny paired with an Elaya Vaughn sash. We hope you enjoy!!
