SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Paprika Southern} A Quote, Kate Pankoke + Vineyard Romance

So beyond thrilled that one of our Lena Medoyeff gowns made the cover of online magazine, Paprika Southern, a magazine focused on art and style with a Southern twist. Also excited that my quote about the groomsmen in hot dogs from Shannon + Steven's wedding got into the magazine!!! In the magazine is also a Q&A with the bridal designer with one of our bridal designers, Kate Pankoke. Bevin, one of the editors who recently got married this fall, bought her Elaya Vaughn dress at our shop during our Trunk Show with Kate Pankoke. To see Bevin in her dress click here! Anyway, we were the day of coordinators for Kate's wedding almost a year ago, photographed by Shannon Christopher at Brockington Hall so we loved getting to see the picture of Kate in the magazine wearing her gorgeous custom dress made entirely by herself that was finished a few days before the wedding.

The editorial featuring our gown was taken at September Oaks Vineyards photographed by Lisa Marie Oquinn of Sweet Tea Photography. YOJ Events styled the entire shoot with rentals from Event Haus, Snyder Rentals and Polished; flowers from Colonial House of Flowers; our dress of course and a stylish tux from Charleston Tuxedo. Megan Mateo did hair and makeup for the lovely bride. Anyway, the team of vendors did an awesome job with everything and we loved getting to see our dress featured!! Hope you will enjoy too!! :) And if you are interested in shopping Lena Medoyeff you can call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here

SIMPLY BRIDAL: Chaviano Couture Trunk Show {Country Chic}

Chaviano Couture gowns are elegant and etherial. Rose, the newest gown from Chaviano Couture, is a beautiful lace gown, complete with a scalloped hem. We can see this dress at garden wedding, so soft, so romantic. We especially love the idea of mixing pops of orange and citrus colors when you do a garden theme. The bright colors look amazing next to soft greens and whites.

We will have Rose, along with other Chaviano Couture gowns, from June 28th to July 5th. So if Rose is the one for you, makes sure to set up an appointment!

SIMPLY BRIDAL: Chaviano Couture Pop Up Shop

I first saw Chaviano Couture on this blog. I instantly had to look them up, and see who made these beautiful dresses! I fell in love with Carlee, and needed it in my life. Then I found out these were handmade, right here in Georgia! Atlanta in fact! And not only were they gorgeous, handmade, and wonderful BUT were for a cause. 20% of all proceeds are donated to a charity in Haiti, that was founded by the designers husband. At Ivory and Beau, we LOVE that when you buy your wedding dress from Chaviano Couture, you are not just getting an amazing dress. You are helping a child in Haiti.

We contacted Annette (The designer behind Chaviano Couture) about doing a Pop Up Shop, and she said yes! We are so excited to bring these gowns to Savannah, are know brides are going to love them. We will have these amazing dresses through June 28th - July 7th, so call us to make your appointment! We promise you won't be disappointed!!

POP UP SHOP: PURE MAGNOLIA

About the Designer + Dresses: Patty Nayel is the designer behind Pure Magnolia. Her gowns are handmade in Vancouver, Canada using sustainable fabrics. The dresses are made with European laces, Indian silks, organic cottons, vintage and recycled fabrics. Adrienna is the knowledgeable one when it comes to fabrics + textiles, so I must say it was really quite interesting reading through Pure Magnolia's detailed page about the fabrics they use in their gowns and I just had to share some interesting tidbits of what I learned about what "sustainable fabrics" really means. The Silk Chiffon they use is reclaimed, from high end lingerie manufacturing companies scrap bit's that are leftover. These pieces are swept up, attached together or used in smaller bits to add texture or volume in a gown. The Dupioni Silk Organza that they use is a special kind that is made from breeder cocoons... meaning the little silk worms get to escape and live as a moth. Whoa, see... isn't this interesting? Or maybe it's just me. I guess I am just fascinated by learning about this kind of thing. Anyway moving on... their Silk Dupioni fabric also has an interesting story behind it. It is produced in India on a family farm that uses a sustainable method to dye the fabric. There is a lot of water used when dying fabrics; however, this family has developed a method of purifying the water so that they can re-use the water afterwards to irrigate their fields. All in all, these dresses are pretty fantastic and gorgeous and we are so excited to have them at Ivory + Beau!!! If you are interested in coming in to check out these pretties, call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to fill out our Appointment Request form!
