SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Green Wedding Shoes} Modern Ocean Wedding

Eeeek!!! So excited that one of our Rebecca Schoneveld dresses is featured on Green Wedding Shoes! These blue bridal separates are such a fun look for a unique bride!! Anyway, we were so beyond thrilled when Jade + Matthew and Andrea of Gray Harper Event Maker approached us to borrow a dress for an editorial they were doing at one of Savannah's newest restaurants and venues, The Florence. If ya'll haven't been to The Florence yet then I would definitely recommend doing so as soon as possible. This venue is pretty badass, with its unique light fixtures, funky atmosphere, sophisticated menu and awesome events (a few months back the Wes Anderson Meatball & Movie Nights were going on and was maybe one of my favorite date nights I've ever experienced.) I could go on about why I think you should check this out but on to the other fabulous vendors that made up this Modern Ocean shoot. Andrea did the planning, design and florals, Lavender & Honey provided paper goods & the yummy looking naked cake, Stephanie over at Savannah Vintage Rentals provided that awesome door backdrop (which we can't wait to use for a wedding by the way..), calligraphy by LowCountry Paper Co., the bridesmaids rocked dresses from Custard Boutique (a must stop shop in historic Savannah), and the lovely ladies were made up by Dollface by Jules and Wicked Lulu. All in all, huge thank you to Jade + Matthew and Andrea for using our dress in this shoot!! Ya'll did such a stunning job putting together everything!!! And now head on over to Green Wedding Shoes to check out more!!!

SIMPLY WED: Larissa + Adam

So excited to share Larissa and Adam's fall wedding with you all today!! This wedding was such a lovely wedding that took place at two venues that we had never worked at before and it was great getting to know both venues and to see the spaces. The ceremony took place at the gorgeous gardens at the Davenport House and was simply lovely. The reception followed at 45 Bistro at Marshall House. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! The food was delicious and the space is very European bistro to me. Larissa and Adam had such a unique fall wedding that was so different from any of the others one we did last fall with the soft color palette of blush, minty colors, and pale yellows and the centerpieces were designed beautifully by Harvey Designs with pumpkins, gourds and succulents. Two Chics Photography captured all the details of their wedding day while Vitor Lindo captured everything on video. Entertainment was provided by New Arts Ensemble and the Traveling Riverside BandAmazing Event Rentals set up the ceremony rentals and Officiant Nancy of Nancy's Nuptials performed their ceremony. The scrumptious dessert bar was by Delectable Designs. Last but not least, hair and makeup was by Eye Do Hair and Makeup.

Anyway, thank you to Two Chics for sharing the wedding with us and huge thank you to Larissa and Adam for letting us be a part of their big day and HUGE congratulations on your recent marriage!!! We wish you the very best as you begin your lives together!!!

{STYLED SHOOT} Calligraphy, Horses + a Barn

Today we are sharing our styled shoot at Savannah's newest barn venue, Red Gate Farm, part of The Mackey House!! This venue is so perfect for a Southern wedding. Both the outside surrounding areas are beautiful as well as the barn itself. When we did our shoot they were still working on renovations and upgrades to the interior but we still loved it and cannot wait to see how it looks now! For the shoot, we were inspired by calligraphy and literature and wanted a deep color palette filled with romantic shades of scarlet, deep purples, and gold.

Allison Kuhn photographed every little detail of the shoot. We used one of our newest bridal gowns from Lena Medoyeff paired with a Hushed Commotion sash for our bride, Adrienna's boyfriend's sister Tara, who was made over by Marie Bramlett. For the ceremony we used vintage doors and pews from Savannah's newest vintage rental company, Rentiquity. Our lounge area was setup with vintage furniture from In Any Event accompanied with decor pieces from both Ultra Pom and Simply Southern Weddings and flowers designed by A to Zinnas. The reception and dessert table linens are also from Ultra Pom and are quite possibly our favorite linens in existence. Kaitlin Slattery of Forever September hand wrote the calligraphy chargers and escort cards as well as designed the adorable invitation suite filled with calligraphy and a cat illustration... our favorite of course. The other china adorning the table is from Lillian's China. Desserts from Rum Runners Bakery and Gigi's Cupcakes. Last, but most certainly not least since she is our favorite ever singer in Savannah and our good friend... Sarah Tollerson, our bridesmaid, rocking a dress from Copper Penny paired with an Elaya Vaughn sash. We hope you enjoy!!

SIMPLY WED: Maureen + Nick

Finally got around to going through all the gorgeous images by Once Like a Spark of Maureen + Nick's wedding this past October at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum!!! I loved all the handmade details of their wedding from the paper pinwheel arch to the yarn wrapped bottles to the moss escort card display and the list goes on... This was really a fun wedding to help out with!!! The couple loves birds and so their theme took on a handmade DIY bird lover theme + was so adorable!!! The funky tree inspired cake was by Tier Luxury Cakes and B Matthews catered the event, which was delicious!! The couple had a lounge area outside of the blacksmith shop set up with vintage rentals from Ever Thine Vintage Rentals. Maureen's hair and makeup were done by Beyond Beautiful by Heather who did a lovely job as always and helped put in the headpiece by French Knot Studios, who also did the bouquets and boutonnieres!! The hardest workers at this event by a long shot were Beachview Event Rentals who put up the cafe lighting and even helped us put up the fabric on those tall rafters... that was ridiculously scary climbing up there so the guys with the company offered to help us out and thank goodness they did because I about had a heart attack trying to climb up the ladder when I put up the tissue poms!!! But it turned out beautifully in the end!! The couple, family + friends danced the night away to DJ Chris from All About You and the night ended with Maureen + Nick leaving in a luxury car from AE Luxury Limo. Congratulations to Maureen + Nick!!!!! Also, check out their engagement photos of them bird-watching by Jade + Matthew here
