BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Jillian Fellers

Are you loving the two piece trend, but might not be ready to have your girls rock it on your wedding day? Then this BCBG dress is the perfect solution. The pink band in the middle makes it look like two pieces, but it's not! So your bridesmaids can wear the trend, while still keeping it classic and not too trendy. We love the soft pastels of the dress, and thought it paired perfect with Vivien by Jillian Fellers. Vivien is a sophisticated silk satin and silk chiffon dress, with a fitted corset top and flowing skirt. The back features an intricate lace racer back detail, and cascading straps. We will have this gown, and the rest of her Spring 2016 collection, through the end of July. So just a few weeks left! Make sure to schedule an appointment to come and shop with us!

BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Mediterranean Blues

If anyone wants to hire us to do a Mediterranean wedding, I will be your best friend. Seriously. I can't imagine a more perfect place to get married then the calming blue waters of the Mediterranean. With a cool color palate of navy, aqua, and a pop of yellow, your wedding would be the talk of the year. So lavish in our cool blue inspiration, and maybe think about having your wedding there. So we can plan it.

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: 4th of July

We love a wedding with the color palate of AMERICA! Red White + Blue! As we celebrate our nations holiday (and a day off!) we take time to look at some weddings that mix the perfect amount of patriotic flair with style. You can either use pops of red white and blue (like in your cake or stationary), or really make it stand out with gingham and flags. Whichever you chose, it is sure to make a statement!

SIMPLY WED: Rachel + Johnny

Sometimes the sweetest weddings are the smallest. Rachel + Johnny's wedding was so beautiful and intimate! Sharing this special day with only close friends and family it let them really spend this time talking, laughing and creating amazing memories with the people closest to them. The Harper Fowlkes House was the perfect location for Rachel + Johnny to start the next chapter in their lives together. Under an amazing DYI flower arch designed by Ivory + Beau in the courtyard, Rachel + Johnny were married by one of their best friends. They celebrated their union on the back porch of the house with beautiful cocktails from Cha Bella. The sunset on a perfect day when the small wedding party of 16 entered the Harper Fowlkes Dining room for dinner. The Dining room provided the perfect setting for their elegant reception. Congratulations for Rachel + Johnny! We are so happy we got to help make your wedding day perfect!

BRIDESMAIDS MONDAY: Aloha Pineapple

The weather is getting hotter and hotter around here! The last week was hot and muggy, which is making us dream of island life. What better place to get married then Maui?! We found this amazing watercolor stationary from Mospens Studio, and we love all of the landmarks they added, like pineapples and whales. One of the coolest parts? The designer is from Akron, Ohio! So grab a Mai Tai and enjoy today's bridesmaids monday!

SIMPLY WED: Jessica + Kyle

We love intimate weddings + Jessica and Kyle's was no exception! This was such a funky and unique wedding too. The couple first contacted me and when asked to describe their dream wedding they wrote 2 words: "Wes Anderson." My response? Huh? So I started googling "Wes Anderson" and quickly recognized several of his movies and was beyond excited to be a part of their unique big day. The couple only had about 25 guests and were married at Brockington Hall. Beyond Beautiful by Heather did a fancy vintage inspired chignon for Jessica before the wedding. Their ceremony was pretty awesome... they had guests all tell a part of their story and how they met, fell in love, got engaged as part of the ceremony and their story. After the ceremony the party moved into the ballroom at Brockington Hall where we had set up vintage chairs and tables from Ever Thine. Cape Creations provided guests with a delicious plated meal. After the reception guests enjoyed "Memaw's sugar cookies" brought from home and music played on a vintage record player.

With all that being said... by far the funnest part of this wedding was getting to do the flowers! We got really funky with it and incorporated a lot of weird textures, flowers, plants and greenery with a full on moss table runner. It was super fun and so different from anything else we've ever done, so we hope you enjoy checking out all the pictures taken by us!!! :) Thank you and huge congratulations to Jessica + Kyle!!

SIMPLY WED: Danielle + Jon

Finally getting around to sharing Danielle + Jon's wedding from this past spring!! Danielle is friends with Katrina, who was one of Layla Mayville's brides (see her wedding here!) Also, Katrina is now a part of the team over at Design Studio South. These ladies provide event planning, paper goods and interior design and did all of the stationary/paper goods for Danielle + Jon's wedding. For this wedding we were the day-of coordinators and it was a lot of fun being part of their wedding, which had an awesome group of vendors!! Their wedding ceremony took place at Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda Academy and was officiated by Pastor Richard D. Hayes with the reception that followed at Vic's On The RiverOglethorpe Tours transported guests from the ceremony to the reception. Our favorite violinist Chris Dooley provided the ceremony music and the reception was DJed by Rock JocksRamelle's Florist provided all the bouquets and ceremony flowers for their big day. Beyond Beautiful by Heather did hair + makeup for all the lovely ladies. Last but not least and certainly most delicious was the cake from Baker's Pride. Anyway, huge congratulations to the happy couple and thank you for letting us be a part of your big day!!!!

SIMPLY WED: Liz + Josh

Ummmm... are ya'll ready to see pictures of the happiest couple I think I've ever seen in my entire life!? When I first looked through all the pictures that Teresa Earnest sent over I was seriously beaming myself because this couple just does not stop laughing and smiling. You can just tell they are crazy about each other and so madly in love. It is really really really awesome and is what this job is really all about. This couple was also a lot of fun to work with during the planning process. We incorporated a lot of fun little surprises for guests and got creative with different details.

This couple got married at Forsyth Park in front of the fountain with rentals from Amazing Event Rentals. Their reception followed at The Mackey House but before guests arrived we had Oglethorpe Tours give guests a short tour around Savannah!! I love that they were able to incorporate some tourist activities for guests since this was a destination wedding. Cape Creations even put together cute little bags of mixed nuts for guests to take on the trolley and oh my gosh ya'll these are the best nuts you will ever taste. Cynthia is a pure whiz in the kitchen. She also made the most adorable appetizers for their cocktail hour... the mini chicken + waffles was by far the cutest thing I have ever seen and the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. For the dessert we had mini mason jars filled with different types of pie from Lulu's Chocolate Bar and then Cape Creations also came out later in the evening with ice cream floats. Everything was delicious... The flowers were designed by the fabulous ladies over at A to Zinnias and were put together so perfectly with soft colors. Michelle Royal did hair + makeup for the bride and bridal party and Liz looked absolutely beautiful. It was pretty cool because our alterations specialist, Shirley, met with Liz a few days before the wedding and was able to help her fix some minor things on her dress. The couple is not only the happiest couple but their guests were seriously happy too. They danced the night away on the light up dance floor over the pool on the deck at the Mackey House with music from All About You. Last but most certainly not least was the sweet babysitter at Guardian Angels that babysat the cutest little kid you will ever see. All in all, the wedding went really well and we are so happy for Liz + Josh!! Huge congratulations to the happy couple and thank you for letting us be a part of your big day!!!!
