DESIGNER REVEAL #7: Sarah Seven Gold

We are SO EXCITED to announce that we will be carrying Sarah Seven's newest collection: Gold Label. We will be one of the first, and few, salons to cary this line! Gold Label is Sarah's sophisticated sister line, that features the classic Sarah Seven shape and exquisite drapes, but adds a touch of sparkle with beading + metallic fabrics, as well as show stopping trains. They are TO DIE FOR!

DESIGNER REVEAL #6: Elaya Vaughn

You may know the designer behind Elaya Vaughn if you are a Project Runway fan! Kate Pankoke, (who recently got married, and we were lucky enough to be her day of coordinators!!) has taken her love for fashion and carried it into her bridal line. When we went to market, we knew we had to check her stuff out, especially since we would be helping with her wedding! Her gowns are so feminine, and feature beautiful structure, flowing fabrics, and exquisite beadwork. The first gown we got into the shop was her gown Marlo, and we SCREAMED with excitement! It is just so effortlessly beautiful. We are also one of three retailers in the USA that will have her dresses, so it is exclusive to us in the south!

DESIGNER REVEAL #5: Faith Thornburg

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas!!! We are back today sharing more of our designers that will be available in our shop after the opening on January 11th!!! Anyway, going to SCAD, I heard about Faith from my beading teacher, Sam Norgard. (Mrs. Norgard is the one who got me obsessed with beading, so a huge part of my thanks is to her!) Anywho, Sam told me about Faith, so I checked out her designs prior to opening the shop. So when we went to NYC to look at dresses, I knew I wanted to check her out. Her dresses are beautiful, and the fact that we get to support another SCAD Alumni is so important to me, I love supporting local talent.

DESIGNER REVEAL #4: Rebecca Schoneveld

When we first saw Rebecca's booth, we dropped our bags and were in awe. Her designs were EXACTLY what we were looking for. We had spent the night before discussing how we needed one more designer, and how bad we wanted separates, so a bride could mix and match tops and bottoms to find her dream dress. We just felt like that was needed for us to really stand apart and offer something different to Savannah brides. So, it really was fate we found Rebecca's booth! We have to send a huge thank you to Jaclyn Jordan, former SCAD grad, who designs gorgeous veils and accessories because we walked by her booth + she spotted our tags that said "Savannah" on them and snatched us up and gave us the inside scoop on Rebecca. We don't yet carry Jaclyn's accessories but we are having a trunk show with her this winter to showcase her gorgeous pieces so stay tuned!! Anyway, back to Rebecca... everything she designs is so effortlessly feminine + soft. From her range of colors (yes we have a blue wedding dress!!!!), to the softest fabrics and lace, everything she makes is perfect. And the mismatched tops and bottoms are just fantastic! We are so excited to carry her dresses, and know you will love them as much as we do! (If you can't tell, we're pretty obsessed with Mrs. Schoneveld. So much that she laughed at how much we gushed over her designs...) [Fun Fact:] Rebecca + Thea from Hushed Commotion work in the same studio! No wonder their stuff goes perfect together!

DESIGNER REVEAL #3: Sarah Seven

Today we share our first bridal gown designer + we think ya'll are going to love this one!!!!! When we first started talking about opening a boutique, the first designer I KNEW we had to have was Sarah Seven. Everything she makes is perfectly feminine with a hint of vintage flair. Her signature draping and soft fabrics are perfect for a Southern bride. Her gowns flow, and have a special lightness and effortlessness about them. It was SO hard to pick the first set of her gowns we would carry, but after narrowing it down at market we were able to pick our top favorites that we know you will fall in love with too! [Image of the bride below with the bouquet in her face is from a styled shoot we did with Sarah Seven's "Golden Lights" gown with Memories n More! Follow us on Facebook to see when we share the rest of the shoot!]

SIMPLY WED: Amanda + AJ

This wedding holds a very dear + special place in my heart because Amanda + AJ were the first ever clients to book me after I purchased the business from Layla Mayville... I can still remember talking to them on the phone and them telling me they were going to hire me and I ran around in circles jumping up and down crying I was so overwhelmed and excited! AND I even had the pleasure of doing their wedding flowers!! I don't know if they ever knew that but to me it was a very special moment. Anyway, enough about me! Amanda and AJ are that couple that you just look at and you can tell how absolutely ridiculously in love they are. They are so sweet and so loving and were an absolute joy to work with! They both are friendly, goofy, funny, and gracious people, I truly wish them an amazing marriage!!!! Check out more about their love story + the proposal here! Their engagement story actually helped them win free vintage rentals from Ever Thine Vintage Rentals

The beautiful images of their wedding at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel were taken by Life's Highlights. My favorite moment at their wedding was the video from Amanda's maid of honor. She unfortunately couldn't make the wedding but only because she was having a baby!!!!! Natalie got together with me before the wedding to plan some special surprises for Amanda. She videotaped her maid of honor speech which I played for them during the reception! There were some minor technical difficulties which was very embarrassing I must say but fortunately Amanda laughed it off and said it was for the better because it gave her a minute or two to compose herself and not cry as hard while watching it! I just absolutely love the images Life's Highlights were able to capture of that moment! It was so special and I was thrilled I got to help Natalie still be a part of the wedding!!!

This wedding party danced the night away and got DOWN. All About You DJed the event and did a fantastic job as always!! Beyond Beautiful by Heather made Amanda and her bridesmaids look absolutely stunning, right?! Last but not least, Joe's Homemade catered the event with the most delicious + fresh Southern cooking you did ever try.... All in all it was a beautiful event! I hope you enjoy the pictures!!!!

SIMPLY WED: Kristina + Jarrod {pt. 1} The Details

I know I always say that the wedding I am sharing is my favorite, but this really is one of my favorites for the main reason that it was filled with handmade details! And I really feel like the handmade/homemade details are what gives an event life and gives an event a story. This wedding was filled with lots + lots of stories of all the prep that went into this wedding that I'm sure this couple will remember forever. First off, the cookie bar with homemade cookies by the bride and bridesmaids... Second, the hundreds of handmade origami cranes which were hung from the rafters and were placed all over the tables... Third, the Godfather origami crane mobile one of the bridesmaids made [seriously the most amazing thing ever] that we almost couldn't use because of restrictions on which rafters we could hang things from but Adrienna + I got crafty the night before the wedding and made that fabric backdrop arch for the sweetheart table... Fourth, the homemade s'mores box made by the groom himself... It doesn't end there though, but those are some of my absolute favorites!!! Hope you enjoy and huge thank you to my friend, Krystal Silva, who came out to the wedding to capture the details!! Stay tuned for their wedding photos coming soon by Finnegan Photography
