SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {A Lowcountry Wed} Tybee Island Wedding Chapel 1920's

So excited to be on A Lowcountry Wedding today!!!! This shoot was designed by Anmol Kismet Weddings and photographed by Gagan Dhiman Photography at one of our favorite wedding venues, the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. This venue is so beautiful and elegant with its gorgeous chandeliers, amazing staircase and its southern charm. For the shoot, the bride wore one of our Rebecca Schoneveld gowns. This dress is one of our favorites from the designer with its beautiful gold shimmer, elegant beading and soft lace. The dress was paired with our Elaya Vaughn bling headpiece. I love how the look came together for a very Great Gatbsy - 1920's look. The gorgeous bouquet seen below is by Madame Chrysanthemum. Food provided by Thrive Catering and cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes. Anyway, head on over to A Lowcountry Wedding to see more of this Gatsby inspired shoot!!! Thank you Erin for featuring!!

SIMPLY BORROWED: 20's Elegance

Gagan Dhiman came into our shop a few months ago looking to collaborate! Once he told us he wanted to do a 20's theme, with pops of red, we knew our Gemma dress by Rebecca Schoneveld would be a perfect fit! We love seeing photographers vision, and the pictures did not disappoint!

SIMPLY BORROWED: Shimmering Mariage

A super fun part of our job is lending out our gowns + accessories to other talented wedding vendors and seeing how they style our inventory. This shoot was by SCAD student, Tori Mercedes, for a school project and it is absolutely stunning. We love these gorgeous images using an Elaya VaughnSarah Seven and Rebecca Schoneveld gown plus accessories from Jaclyn Jordan. These gorgeous images were taken at The Mansion on Forsyth Park. Thank you Tori for sharing these pretties with us and well, we really hope you got an A... just saying...

SIMPLY WED: Lindsey & Blake {PART ONE}

Here are the pre-ceremony pictures of Lindsey & Blake's Sapelo Island wedding at Reynolds Mansion. Gosh, I still am swooning over how amazing and talented Traci Arney is! Her photography is so incredible. She captured the day so perfectly. Her images really tell a story of every little detail from their wedding weekend. I love how she even captured pictures of Blake, the owner of Cafe 37 in Savannah, putting together their delicious wedding cake! Which, I must say, was the best wedding cake I think I've ever tried. It was even gluten free... And so delicious. They were so generous and offered Layla and I to try the cake and even take some home since it was such a huge cake for their intimate dinner party wedding. One of the sweetest things about Lindsey & Blake to me is their love story. She gave us the brief rundown after the wedding and so I apologize if Lindsey or Blake are reading this and if I got anything wrong please correct me! But basically, the two had dated when they were younger, but eventually ended up going separate ways. Lindsey got married and Blake traveled all over learning how to cook. Fast forward some number of years and Lindsey is now single and living in North Carolina (I believe) and Blake in Savannah where he runs Cafe 37 (highly recommend this. It is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Savannah). Anyway, Lindsey was one day looking up Blake and found out about his restaurant and tracked him down somehow. Well, one thing leads to another and they are dating long distance and visiting each other back and forth. Now, if you have ever been to Cafe 37 you'll know that there is an amazing antique store next door. Every time Lindsey came to Savannah she would go into the antique store, and one of the things she had her eye on for awhile was that big blue ring you will see below. She visited a few times always looking at the ring but never being able to bring herself to buy it. Well, one trip down there she decides it's time to purchase the ring. She goes into the antique store and it's gone. Fast forward a few months (I believe) and Blake proposes with the ring! When he found out she was going to get it he decided he had to get it before she did and he bought the ring and used it to propose. I just thought their story was too precious to not share and I have to admit that it was one of those things that brought tears to my eyes! Anyway, I really planned on putting all their images into one post but I just couldn't do it. There are too many gorgeous pictures and I just had to split it up or this post would end up being too long and jumbled. So here it is... part one of the wedding, which is really more like part two since I already posted pictures of their rehearsal dinner here! And congratulations to the beautiful and amazing happy couple! It was so special getting to experience Sapelo Island and your wedding day with the both of you!

SIMPLY WED: Lindsey & Blake's Rehearsal Dinner

I honestly have to say working at this wedding was one of those experiences that you can't put into words easily. It started with a 30 minute drive south of Savannah. Once at the Sapelo Island Visitor Center we boarded the ferry. Not a slow ferry though, a fast ferry that went through some amazing swamp & marsh areas. It was absolutely beautiful. It sort of felt like a dream... I can remember thinking, am I really doing this? I am getting paid right now to ride a boat to a private island to work at a wedding and this is awesome. Now, I think Savannah is beautiful and all... but Sapelo Island? I don't think beautiful even begins to describe it. The trees, the beaches, the nature, the seclusion you feel once on the island, everything is so breathtaking. I think Lindsey & Blake did a really good job choosing a location and a photographer. Traci Arney was incredible at capturing every moment of their wedding from the bride and groom greeting the guests, to the rehearsal dinner on a pier along a deserted beach, to the ceremony by the Great Gatsby fountain, to their lovely intimate dinner party. There are so many incredible photographs that I just had to split this feature into two parts. So for the first part of the Lindsey/Blake wedding, here are some images Traci took from around the island and of the rehearsal dinner. Magical? Don't you think?
