SIMPLY WED: Lindsey & Blake {PART ONE}

Here are the pre-ceremony pictures of Lindsey & Blake's Sapelo Island wedding at Reynolds Mansion. Gosh, I still am swooning over how amazing and talented Traci Arney is! Her photography is so incredible. She captured the day so perfectly. Her images really tell a story of every little detail from their wedding weekend. I love how she even captured pictures of Blake, the owner of Cafe 37 in Savannah, putting together their delicious wedding cake! Which, I must say, was the best wedding cake I think I've ever tried. It was even gluten free... And so delicious. They were so generous and offered Layla and I to try the cake and even take some home since it was such a huge cake for their intimate dinner party wedding. One of the sweetest things about Lindsey & Blake to me is their love story. She gave us the brief rundown after the wedding and so I apologize if Lindsey or Blake are reading this and if I got anything wrong please correct me! But basically, the two had dated when they were younger, but eventually ended up going separate ways. Lindsey got married and Blake traveled all over learning how to cook. Fast forward some number of years and Lindsey is now single and living in North Carolina (I believe) and Blake in Savannah where he runs Cafe 37 (highly recommend this. It is one of the best restaurants I have been to in Savannah). Anyway, Lindsey was one day looking up Blake and found out about his restaurant and tracked him down somehow. Well, one thing leads to another and they are dating long distance and visiting each other back and forth. Now, if you have ever been to Cafe 37 you'll know that there is an amazing antique store next door. Every time Lindsey came to Savannah she would go into the antique store, and one of the things she had her eye on for awhile was that big blue ring you will see below. She visited a few times always looking at the ring but never being able to bring herself to buy it. Well, one trip down there she decides it's time to purchase the ring. She goes into the antique store and it's gone. Fast forward a few months (I believe) and Blake proposes with the ring! When he found out she was going to get it he decided he had to get it before she did and he bought the ring and used it to propose. I just thought their story was too precious to not share and I have to admit that it was one of those things that brought tears to my eyes! Anyway, I really planned on putting all their images into one post but I just couldn't do it. There are too many gorgeous pictures and I just had to split it up or this post would end up being too long and jumbled. So here it is... part one of the wedding, which is really more like part two since I already posted pictures of their rehearsal dinner here! And congratulations to the beautiful and amazing happy couple! It was so special getting to experience Sapelo Island and your wedding day with the both of you!
