DESIGNER FEATURE: Carlee Sizemore

Gosh it feels so weird sitting down to write a blog post (Nicole here!). I never have time to write blog posts anymore and so this is a nice change of pace for once. Anyway, Carlee Sizemore approached us a few months ago about us possibly carrying her collection in our shop and I was delighted because Carlee Sizemore was a designer, a blog and a website that I was enamored with and she was just an inspiration to me from afar when I was first getting into blogging and the wedding industry. And lo and behold now we are holding a Pop-Up Shop with this amazing accessories designer!! Her accessories are whimsical and bohemian and exactly what we are all about and love so much. So today I am featuring this designer and we cannot wait to have the event with her pieces! To schedule an appointment during our Pop-Up Shop this weekend call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here!!

What I love most about these accessories is how unique they are and how different they are from every other designer out there. Her pieces feature soft silks, semi-precious stones and sparkle that are handmade. The designer is located in Atlanta and loves floral arrangements and botanicals. Soft, romantic and makes a statement all at the same time. Cannot wait to see these beautiful pieces in person! Thank you Carlee!!

DESIGNER FEATURE: Ti Adora by Alvina Valenta

Ti Adora is a collection of gowns designed by Jessica Williams, designer also of Alvina Valenta. Ti Adora is a more affordable collection than the Alvina Valenta but seriously just as beautiful. So anyway, we are so excited that we are going to have the new Fall 2014 Ti Adora collection at our shop next weekend on Friday September 26th and Saturday September 27th before these dresses even hit the stores for the season. To schedule an appointment to check them out call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here!!

1. It is no secret that we both are in love with lace. Lace lace lace. We cannot get enough lace. And these dresses are made of the prettiest, softest most gorgeous lace. And some even have overlapping lace textures for a lovely look that makes more of a statement. Also, we love how these have some bling for some added sparkle.

2. These dresses are so romantic and sweet. With their soft lace details, pretty necklines, and airy fabrics they are perfect for a whimsical bride getting married outside in a garden or in a rustic chapel.

3. Not only are these dresses soft and romantic but some of them are more glamorous for the bride who wants to make a statement. From a full skirt with ruffles to an all-over beaded gown these are just fab.

4. Low backs and peek-a-boo side details make for a sexy look on your wedding day. For the bride who dares to show a little extra skin these are perfect.

Anyway, we are so excited to see the new collection and if you are interested in being one of the first to check these dresses out too before they even hit the stores call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here! We look forward to seeing you!

DESIGNER FEATURE: Sarah Seven

Can't really believe I am just now getting around to writing this post... because I mean we seriously love Sarah Seven. When first getting started thinking about what designers we wanted to carry we knew that Sarah Seven was for sure one of them. And seeing her dresses at Bridal Market in New York just validated our love for Sarah Seven and our desire to have her styles in our store. So that being said, today I'm talking all about why we love us some Sarah Seven. Also, our End of Summer Sample Sale is going on now through Saturday September 20th! If you are a Sarah Seven bride, scroll down to see which styles are included in the sale. Call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule your appointment!

1. These dresses are made for the unique bride. Seriously though. These dresses are made for the bride who does not want to look like every other bride out there. These dresses are made for the bride who wants her personality to shine on her wedding day. She wants to stand out. She is trendy, fabulous and secure in all her own quirky ways. All-over gold sequins? She's got it. Blush and airy? She's got it. Silver sequins like a milky way pattern? She's got it. And they're all fabulous and definitely the right dress for that bride who is ready to grab everyone's attention and hold it.

2. Do you dream of looking like a whimsical bohemian fairy on your wedding day? If so, Sarah Seven is the designer for you. From sparkly lace that shimmers and shines to softer than soft organza that billows in the wind to buttery lace fabric that floats while moving, these dresses are just perfect.

3. Sarah Seven found her signature and did it right and with that she grew her brand from that signature. Every Sarah Seven dress (for the most part) has a similar corset top with similar bra cup and sweetheart neckline, which now is the key attribute in Sarah Seven dresses that make it easy to tell when a bride is rocking Sarah Seven. Some of our most popular Sarah Seven styles have been Elizabeth, Helene and Keats. Elizabeth with its romantic beaded lace top with chiffon skirt, Helene with its fabulous soft lace and Keats with its beautiful drape work and airy silk chiffon. These dresses may all have a similar corset and boning yet are three completely different looks for three completely different style of brides.

Are you a Sarah Seven bride? If so, come shop with us while some of her hottest styles are available for 15-20% during our End of Summer Sample Sale!! Call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule your appointment while we still have availability!

DESIGNER FEATURE: Heidi Elnora

I don't know about you but I have been loving watching snippets online from Bride By Design on TLC, Heidi Elnora's reality show about her boutique in Alabama and about her custom bridal collection, Build A Bride. It is so fun to see a designer work hands on with brides to help them find their dream dress. Heidi Elnora graduated SCAD in 2002 and started her brand in 2006. Her company and boutique is based in Alabama. Before writing designer features I love doing a little background into who the designer really is and I have to say I felt inspired by reading a little more into Heidi's story, taken from an interview with SCAD.

The designer started out working for Carter's, then left her job for Project Runway. After being kicked off the show she ended up back working at Carter's. Heidi was hit by a drunk driver and so her mom moved her back to Alabama and while back home she met a boy, fell in love and moved officially back to be with him. She knew in her heart she was in Alabama for a reason and she needed to make her dream a reality since the lack of jobs in her field did not exist there. And that's just what she did. I find that so inspiring that someone can take a stepback in life, find the positive, and still pursue their dreams. I can relate because her story is similar to my own life and how I got to Savannah. While I did not move here for any sort of injury or crisis, I am not here now for the reason I thought I came here for. However, I know deep in my heart that I am here for a reason and that is to make my own dreams a reality with Adrienna. :) Funny how fate and destiny have a way of working things out in your life. That being said I would highly recommend reading more from the article here. I loved reading Heidi's young advice for designers. Not one thing she said had anything specific to do about what exactly you have to do, rather she's all about being in tune with yourself and your heart. I think we can all agree Heidi would make an amazing mentor... Now, enough about that and now on to the real reason we are here... beautiful dresses and reasons we love Heidi Elnora's designs.

We will have these dresses through this Saturday only!! Call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule an appointment to check out the collection!

1. The Build-A-Bride Collection gives brides the possibility to have a dress that is custom and couture without spending the amount you normally would spend for a couture gown. Coco Marie is one of Heidi's most popular staples that she starts with and then brides can build on from there. Whether its adding a touch of lace, a peplum skirt, cap sleeves, a keyhole back... there are just so many possibilities. Even without any additions to this gown we love its sweetheart neckline with the lower plunging back for a timeless and elegant look with its simple silhouette, which fits brides so beautifully. Coco Marie, shown above also with a lace cover-up for the modest bride. Also, perfect for a bride who wants 2 looks in 1. Why not wear a more modest look for the ceremony, especially for brides getting married in a chapel or a cathedral, and then... party time!! We at Ivory + Beau are all about having 2 looks in 1 for more ways to surprise your guests and your groom!! Try this dress on!

1b. There is just something I love about a dress that says sophisticated, stylish and elegant while also being sexy. Elle Hemingway does just that. With its polished and classic scoop neck and its dramatic low back with buttons. This dress is it all. Plus another one from Heidi's Build A Bride collection it can be accessorized with unique funky bows, lace sleeve overlays, peplum skirts and even tulle skirt overlays. Try this dress on!

2. These dresses are so perfect for the southern traditional bride with their beautiful sweetheart necklines and soft romantic lace, yet have a touch of sexy that we love so much... especially the low backs on these gowns. We are all for looking fabulous in the front, back and side on your wedding day, and what better way to do that than with a gorgeous gown that fits amazingly like these! Try these dresses on!

3. I am loving the modern design elements and use of illusion necklines of Heidi's gowns. Illusion necklines take lace to a whole new nother level by allowing lace to peek out and stand out. Vivienne Beau, Clara Louise and Rubie Joe are three of my personal favorites that Heidi incorporated illusion details into but she has more that are just as amazing!! Try these dresses on!

4. While her dresses are still unique, modern, sexy... there is still a touch of Southern belle that is undeniable in her collection. From a a drop waisted ball gown. to a soft organza tier gown, to this lacy mermaid... she knows how to create the perfect dress for that bride who grew up dreaming of her beautiful Southern wedding in her beautiful gown that makes her feel like the Southern belle she was raised as. Try these dresses on!

5. Last but not least... her dresses have the most adorable names ever that are fit for a true Southern belle. From Georgia Bourgeois to Nora Georgette to Sophie Paulette to Camilla Darling... don't you just feel like you stepped into a Southern movie?? Or is it just me. Anyway, either way... we love Heidi Elnora, her dresses are phenomenal and we can't wait for you to come try on these gowns!! Call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule your appointment before these gowns leave our shop!! We will have them through Saturday but will be closed Thursday for Savannah Fashion Night Out.

DESIGNER FEATURE: Marisol Aparicio

August 9th through August 16th we are going to have lots of pretty pretty pretty accessories from designer Marisol Aparicio. During the Pop-Up Shop we will be offering an extra 10% off any accessory purchased during the event!!! The collection is handmade in the United States by the family itself. To schedule an appointment call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here!! **We love it when brides bring in their dresses (from here or elsewhere) so that we can have an accessories dress-up day to see what accessories are perfect to help you complete your look!!

1. Lace lace lace trimmed veils. Beautiful lace veils. These lace veils are just phenomenal and are also affordable. With prices ranging from $110 to $250 these are awesome options for brides who love the look of a gorgeous lace veil but don't want to overspend on their accessories. From Alencon Lace from France to Floral lace that either frame the face or trim the entire veil, we just love these pretty delicate veils.

2. Unique lace appliques... these are so different from any other veils we have available in our shop. If you are not wanting a veil entirely trimmed with lace than these are a perfect option for you because they have lace appliques either in one area of the veil or spread out along the veil. A more subtle yet still gorgeous option.

3. Garden inspired headpieces with soft floral accents. We are so in love with all these headpieces which incorporate flowers!!! So pretty and perfect for an outdoors wedding in a garden. They are romantic and stunning. The headpieces range from $95 to $400.

4. Bohemian with some bling. You all probably know by now we love anything bohemian. That being said we also love a little glitz, a little glam and some major bling. So we are loving how these headpieces combine bohemian with bling for a new bridal look.

So excited for this Pop-Up Shop and we can't wait to see which accessories are bride's favorites!!

1. Sexy silhouettes. We are pretty in love with these form fitting beauties. And the peekaboo side lace? I want that in my life. Love that detail and how funky and unique it is.

2. We just love low backs and open backs. So many of these gowns feature gorgeous back details.

3. Bohemian dresses are our favorite. And these dresses are perfectly bohemian. We love love love. The lace details, the soft flowy fabrics are so perfect for the bride who wants to look boho on her wedding day.

4. Not just are there bohemian inspired gowns but we love these Grecian goddess dresses so much. And now we really want to go to Greece and get married on an island. Now that would just be amazing. Don't you think?
