While working at David's Bridal it was silver, silver, silver and more silver. But at Ivory + Beau we have been seeing a whole new trend and that is that brides lately are loving gold. And with that we have decided that Gold is the New Silver and we are loving it. I don't mean obnoxious yellow fake looking gold but rather a pretty and subtle gold, which shines, shimmers and looks stunning on. Proclaimer before reading on... I promise these dresses we are showing you do have a golden tint but it is very very subtle and very very difficult to find an image online where you can see the real detail and the beauty of these gowns. They are just ones you have to see in person to really be able to appreciate the detail and the golden shimmer. That being said... call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule an appointment!
1. Gold lace, gold sequins, gold beading, we love it all. We have 3 dresses that we consider gold: this lacy golden shimmer art deco inspired gown from Rebecca Schoneveld, this soft whimsical golden buttery Sarah Seven dress with gold threaded lace, and our Golden Lights all over sequin Sarah Seven dress which comes in both long and short. I know it is kind of hard to tell from these images that they have a gold shimmer but they really do and they really are some of our favorite dresses that brides too are loving.
2. Forget silver based accessories... gold is where its at. We are loving these bridal headpieces and sashes that use gold instead of silver. They stand out so much more when paired with pearls and bling than the traditional silver. Plus there's just something about gold that fits the vintage, soft and romantic bride where as silver is for the Cinderella traditional bride. Twigs & Honey makes the prettiest gold hair vines adorned with pearls and swarovski crystals and don't even get me started on how much I love their gold bows. And Hushed Commotion has an awesome gold birdcage that I am seriously obsessed with. That's not all though, we have way more in the shop that we love love love. If you are already have your dress but are interested in bringing in your dress to shop accessories to find that perfect piece to complete your look let us know and we can even bring in our custom accessories designer, Adele Amelia, to work with you to create the perfect accessory!

SIMPLY INSPIRATION: Sarah Seven Golden Lights
One of our favorite dresses is Golden Lights by Sarah Seven. This dress is covered in gold sequins, and the classic Sarah Seven bodice with a sweetheart neckline and corset top. We loved seeing it The Not Wedding Savannah, and this beautiful image by Mackensey Alexander captures it so perfectly! It has the perfect balance of sweet and fun, and brides have been loving it in short too! (It's makes an amazing reception dress!) Golden Lights looks stunning among the twinkling lights of an evening wedding, with hanging cafe lights and gold glitter.

SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Style Me Pretty Georgia} Savannah Bridal Shoot Inspiration
When Sawyer Baird approached us last minute about borrowing a dress and accessories for a styled shoot we looked at her photography and instantly said yes please. Her photography is just magical and so pretty. Sawyer borrowed one of the Ivana Krejci gowns that we had for our Pop-Up Shop with the designer this past spring and used a Jaclyn Jordan veil and a Twigs & Honey headpiece. The shoot took place at a private residence in Savannah. Michelle Royal did hair and makeup for the beautiful model, Sawyer Greenberg, who also was a model for this shoot I did back in the day with Shannon Christopher. The beautiful calligraphy and florals in this shoot are by Sarah Ingram and are so lovely and pretty. Anyway, so excited to share that this shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty Georgia today!!! Such a great feature so make sure to check out all the little details of everything and thank you again to Sawyer for photographing our items so beautifully!

SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Southern Bridal} Vintage Bethesda Styled Shoot
So excited that our styled shoot photographed by Lone Pine Photography was featured on Southern Bridal last week!! Tori of Ever Thine approached me about helping out with this shoot and it was really fun to be a part of and if I remember correctly it was seriously freezing outside... Anyway, the shoot took place out at Bethesda Academy and was styled by Tori with her vintage rentals. I helped with putting together an escort card display and setting up. A to Zinnias provided flowers and the dress is from J'Adore Bridal & Formal and is a Justin Alexander dress. The lovely ladies over at Dollface by Jules did hair & makeup for the model Emily E. Hammond. Last but not least desserts were provided by Gigi's Cupcakes, Holli's Cakes and Maison de Macarons. Oh yeah.. that just reminded me this was that one shoot where I ate about 20 macarons and 17 cupcakes and had a serious sugar high. Oh wait no... that's every shoot. Ha, anyway, hope you enjoy and head on over to Southern Bridal to see the entire shoot!!!

SIMPLY PUBLISHED: {Paprika Southern} A Quote, Kate Pankoke + Vineyard Romance
So beyond thrilled that one of our Lena Medoyeff gowns made the cover of online magazine, Paprika Southern, a magazine focused on art and style with a Southern twist. Also excited that my quote about the groomsmen in hot dogs from Shannon + Steven's wedding got into the magazine!!! In the magazine is also a Q&A with the bridal designer with one of our bridal designers, Kate Pankoke. Bevin, one of the editors who recently got married this fall, bought her Elaya Vaughn dress at our shop during our Trunk Show with Kate Pankoke. To see Bevin in her dress click here! Anyway, we were the day of coordinators for Kate's wedding almost a year ago, photographed by Shannon Christopher at Brockington Hall so we loved getting to see the picture of Kate in the magazine wearing her gorgeous custom dress made entirely by herself that was finished a few days before the wedding.
The editorial featuring our gown was taken at September Oaks Vineyards photographed by Lisa Marie Oquinn of Sweet Tea Photography. YOJ Events styled the entire shoot with rentals from Event Haus, Snyder Rentals and Polished; flowers from Colonial House of Flowers; our dress of course and a stylish tux from Charleston Tuxedo. Megan Mateo did hair and makeup for the lovely bride. Anyway, the team of vendors did an awesome job with everything and we loved getting to see our dress featured!! Hope you will enjoy too!! :) And if you are interested in shopping Lena Medoyeff you can call us at (912)200-4794, e-mail at ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here!

BRIDAL LOOKBOOK 1.0 {part 2} Faith Thornburg
Faith Thornburg. We kind of love Faith Thornburg. Not only is she the sweetest ever but she is extremely talented and is a SCAD alumni who names her dresses after Savannah streets and places. So today we are sharing our Bridal Lookbook 1.0 Part 2 featuring Faith and her dresses. These dresses are romantic, soft and whimsical and all handmade with only the finest of fabrics and materials. The craftmanship of a Faith Thornburg dress is immaculate. The best thing about working with Faith is she is all about some customization. For one of our brides getting married this fall she made a custom blue dress and for another she is altering and changing up her black wedding dress. Did I mention we have really badass and awesome brides? Anyway, hope you all enjoy checking out more of our Bridal Lookbook 1.0 photographed by Izzy Hudgins! BRIDAL LOOKBOOK 1.0 {part 1} Sarah Seven
Gosh we are so behind in sharing this on our blog but finally getting to it only who knows how many long months after first posting our only Issuu of our first ever Bridal Lookbook, which you can see here. Anyway, finally getting around to sharing on the blog and we just are so excited about how this bridal editorial turned out that we are sharing it a little bit differently than how we usually share our styled shoots. Rather than a modge podge collage of images we are bringing to you one picture at a time in all its beauty. These 3 ladies who modeled for us were just absolutely beautiful and did such a great job rocking our dresses while Izzy Hudgins captured them in all their glory. Michelle Royal did hair and makeup for us. Apricot Lane lent us some badass jewelry and accessories that we used to style these dresses and it was so fun accessorizing in new + unusual ways. This was so fun getting to capture all the dresses that we first opened shop with and will forever be a milestone in itself because it marks the beginnings of this little boutique called Ivory + Beau.
For part 1 of sharing our Bridal Lookbook we are starting with Sarah Seven. From the beginning of the planning process before opening we knew we wanted Sarah Seven. We love everything about her dresses and we knew her aesthetic truly fit with the bride we want to cater to: the bohemian, whimsical, unique and lovely bride. For the bride who would rather feel like a fairy on her wedding day than a princess, or the hippy bride who dreams of getting married in nature, or the bride who is not afraid of a whole lot of sparkle. Sarah Seven we just adore and we cannot wait to check out her new collection this October to see what new beauties we will be adding to our shop!! Anyway, hope you enjoy part 1 and to see more of our editorial you can check out the other designers here: Elaya Vaughn, Rebecca Schoneveld and Faith Thornburg. Anyway, hope you enjoy and to make an appointment contact us at (912)200-4794, ivoryandbeau@gmail.com or click here to schedule an appointment!
