{Savannah Wedding Location} Brockington Hall

I am very excited to finally tour this amazing location in Savannah, Ga and share it with you on my blog! Lee Mundell was gracious to show me around their entire property and answer all my questions. It's funny when I've lived in Savannah now for over 4 years, passed by Brockington Hall countless times, parked in front of it while going to an event at Forsyth Park, and always stared at this amazing building in aww. Now I could help plan a wedding or event at it! This house has been in Lee's family since 1980 and used as a private residence, but until its reopening as an Event Venue and Inn this year, 2011.

Brockington Hall was built in 1882 and showcases the magnificent Classic Italianate villa-style mansion architecture. This venue has a 4,000 square foot parlor with fourteen-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, marble fireplaces, gorgeous crystal chandeliers, crystal wall sconces, decorative moldings, and hardwood floors. A central hall opens onto all major rooms and leads to the formal ballroom which can seat 150 guests. Such a wonderful venue for weddings, rehearsal dinners, or luncheons. Plus it is within a block and a half from Forsyth Park, which could be your ceremony location. Brockington Hall is located at 213 East Hall Street in the southern end of Savannah’s Registered Historic District. They do suggest you hire a wedding planner in order to utilize their location to manage all the details as well as hiring police security if having an evening event. I can't wait to help plan a wedding or event at this location, so give me a ring or email me!

In addition to a beautiful venue, Brockington Hall also provides a private room for anyone hosting an event there. This room can be utilized as the bridal suite for preparation before the wedding, then used for the bride and groom's suite for the night! A full kitchen with facilities for light cooking is provided, and you can bring home your treats from Savannah’s many fine restaurants for later snacks. Both a grocery store and a wine and liquor store are within a distance of three blocks.
The full-size bed has a Park Place Impression Plush mattress with quality cotton sheets and a cushy comforter. Additional linens provided so that the futon sofa in the living room can serve as a third sleeping space. There are plenty of pillows and many additional comforts. All textiles are new as of 2011, and the mattress and pillows have special coverings for your protection. You also don't have to be hosting an event at their venue to use this private room, since it is also available to rent for a minimum of 2 nights for $100 per night, as long as it is available. Perfect for out-of-towners looking for a great location in the Historic District of Savannah.
In addition to the private entrance, the Inn has wireless Internet access, cable TV service, and its own security system. You will have free use of Brockington Hall’s shared laundry facility, off-street parking for one vehicle, and maid service after a two-night’s stay. A Tassimo coffee-maker is provided, with coffee, tea, sugars, Splenda and creamer.
