DIY THURSDAY: Paper Mâché Centerpieces

We love doing flowers at Ivory + Beau. There is nothing better then a gorgeous centerpiece filled with colorful flowers. For last years Big Fake Wedding engagement shoot, we wanted to hand make the centerpieces, and came up with a DIY project! We used paper boxes, and paper mâché a floral paper onto them. Then we added florals on top, to create a one of a kind centerpiece. This is so easy to do, and you can use any size boxes and any pattern. Whatever fits your wedding! We accented the table with white candle stick holders, mercury vases, lemons and limes. We love these colors for a spring wedding, so bright and cherry! See below for the tutorial.

P.S we will be apart of the 2nd Big Fake Wedding here in Savannah, at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum. Join us March 5th to see the bride wearing one of our gowns! Then stop by our booth at the Tunnel of Love to see some of our dresses and accessories!

You will need: Paper Mâché Boxes, Mod Podge and paper

1. First pick a pattern! You can find one online, or create your own. In this case, we used a pattern Adrienna made.
2. Print out the pattern on computer paper. You don't want to use too heavy of a paper since you will need to glue it to the boxes.
3. Mod Podge the printed pattern onto the paper boxes. Make sure to glue both the bottom of the paper, as well as over the paper to secure it. Let them dry, then fill with flowers!
