Back today to share some more from Christina + David's engagement session with George Street Photo and a little inside to their engagement!! Congratulations to the happy couple!!
Engaged:
August 2nd, 2013
How & Where They Met:
We met through mutual friends in college at an Avatar costume party. We struck up a friendship quickly through our love of basketball and mild obsession with frozen yogurt at the time :P It wasn't until later that we reconnected and started dating. Our mutual love of Christ and our families developed our friendship into something much deeper. We fell in love shortly thereafter!
The Proposal:
We had been long distance over a year. I had just finished nursing school, and David was going into his second year of dental school. David told me that he had something special planned for our 2 year anniversary as it was June 27th, and we hadn't been able to celebrate it yet. He planned a whole day of fun! First, he came over to my house early that morning with sunflowers (my favorite!) and made a special banana oatmeal pancake breakfast for my dad and me. Then, we went running in Piedmont Park in Atlanta, and he took me to Atlanta Botanical Garden. It was beautiful outside that day! He took me out that night to the restaurant that he had taken me on our very first date. After dinner he said that he had something special planner. We drove to Downtown Roswell, a small town where we had hung out quite a bit while dating. We arrived at this beautiful white mansion where rose petals and tealights adorned the front porch steps. It didn't hit me that he was about to propose until we were at the very top of the stairs and I noticed that no one was there but us! The proposal was so special, and his brother and brother's wife were behind the bushes taking pictures of the whole thing! The next day, he planned a surprise engagement party. It was a very special weekend.
Wedding Date:
Saturday May 30th, 2015
Why Savannah?
We love everything about Savannah: the coast, the food, the history, the southern hospitality. Savannah is the epitome of romance and southern charm in our minds. We believed it was a perfect place where we could have an intimate wedding weekend amongst our closest family and friends.
What Are You Looking Forward to Most on Your Wedding Day:
We are looking forward to celebrating our union in marriage among the most important people in our lives. We are just so blessed to have so many people that love and care for us all in the same place!
Huge thank you to Christina + David for sharing!! :) We look forward to your big day!
